Where did the 3k border mod go?

Yes I agree, It seemed like there was some infighting going on over this one... WHAT a shame that Petty crap will stand in the way of Months if not years of hard study & work... To the Modder's Id like to say WE ALL APPRECIATE YOUR HARD WORD.we ALL realize the study it takes to accomplish such goals. REMEMBER why you/we/us Mod is to simply fix this broken game!!! Dont get caught up in the who,what,when,where's & how's. Iam very new here and maybe stepping out of place here but come on guys. I see ALLOT  of arguing on these forums, enough so im considering stopping messin around on this site. I actually have seen members making fun of grammer error's WOW.Buncha Big Baby's. Here's some more grammer errors for you guys that Have nothing better to do...I used to moderate a push to talk channel with THOUSANDS of members from all over the world and we didn't have this kinda infighting among ourselves . to close I guess what I'm saying is put the small stuff behind you and lets Build a POSITIVE thing here... Otherwise Im sure soooon people  will start to feel as I do. Also Keep it in perspective' IT"S JUST A GAME. And we know who the modder's are who saved the game...

Capton Yes xoxide Put out a HUGE 3k mod on last night shortly there after arguments began. i came this morning to get it it was gone...Shoulda struck while the iron was hot I guess... But the way Love your work bro!!!!

Ive modderated Thousands for a long time... I know the diff between constructive citisis & just being a troll or a bully. I Have been a member for a short while but have seen this a couple of times. I didnt say these things to be checked on it. nor will I provide prof of it. I only made the point becouse  I was hopping to calm the waters so to speak for the modders that were having probs. Infighting solves nothing. As far as grammer is conserned as you can see I'm Not perfect either but I was privy to a thread where a new Freshman was asking questions and after some time personsl attacks did come in the form of Grammer attacks I remember it clearly becouse its why I dont post unless I feel something needs said. LIKE TODAY SO YEAH BUD IT HAPPENS

Xoxide released it last night and then took it down due to a dispute. He is waiting until said dispute is resolved to put the mod back up.

Hi guys,

Just want to say thanks for the good work you are doing with the mods. I have been using Skyes mods for a while which you can play on or offline. And I have the UDON mod which is brilliant, hopefully on day we will see them integrated into the core game.

 

I don't know if Maxis has given up on the game or not, I am hoping they haven't and will see a few more updates.

 

And as for the trolls and mischief makers on the forums, please learn to ignore their comments, they must lead really sad lives.

Without going into great detail, people need to realize that the version of the mod is going to be the best possible version. I have tested many versions of it. Extensively. It is not a game changer, it is buggy, fickle and all of the issues with Glassbox such as power agents, fire...everything are just amplified. There's not going to be room for huge improvements down the road. You still won't be able to zone in the new city boundries...you'll need to go through a mess of what's been called rciplops - which is basically a menu with tons of different RCI elements of different densities. Textures are going to look bad, largely because there is no real "land" in the extended area.

 

I'm certain everyone is just super excited, and while the people who worked on it should be commended, it's not going to be quite what people are expecting. I think people should lower expectations.
