Is there a mod (or an in game feature I missed) that allows you to access some of the graph and data view options using a hot key. I am always going through the zoning and traffic overlay and would love to be able to press CTRL+something to access it. Maybe education and health as well. Feel free to PM if you know of something that would help me out. TIA

I heard you were trying to work out how to make a roundabout interchange. This would be almost impossible as different roads would come in at different angles. I'm happy with making one with one-way roads. But how about this..?

A stacked roundabout.

This is where a ground highway and elevated highway meet, with a roundabout between them. All the onramps lead to the roundabout. There is sometimes 'filter lanes' so you don't have to stop if you are turning left (or right if you drive on the right).

As you could make the stacked intersection, this should be nothing, because you just have to have it go merge then split instead of the other way round. (But I can't talk because I can't mod).

It could be single-lane the hardest part would be getting traffic to give way [yield] at the end. If it's easier, just make it a normal merge.

There's one between the M62 and M66 near Manchester which can be reached at the following URL (I chose it because it's in a hi-rs area and you can even read the road markings if you zoom in!):

I need a mod with highway and avenue options. More interchanges, diagonal neighbor connections, split highways and roads, avenue roundabout, and other options.

split highways: allready possible: drag highway, then drag rail along one side of the highway and half of it dissapears, then you can drag a nother highway and do the same to creat split highway, then connect together using oneway roads

split roads: if this was made it would have to be puzzle pieces and it would look wierd becuase each bit of road would take up half a tile

Is it possible to do a mod that removes all maxis buildings from the landmarks menu?

I've seen a mod that removes all maxis buildings in the game but i only wants to remove the landmarks.

I really can't mod but i guess this i an "easy" mod to do?

You can change the resi demand very easily with parks. Provide a park with the LE, and change the demand value with SC4Tool.

This was done in the wrong forum, but here goes. Sorry.

There is an area in a local highway in my town that is very dangerous. It's a highway, four-laned, with asphalt, but it has a concrete barrier in the middle. Bad thing is you can access it with normal roads and the like. Crashes have occured there a lot.

CONCRETE-DIVIDED FOUR-LANE HIGHWAY

Grid: 2x2 (four-laned, two tiles)

Traffic Capacity: 2500 trips

Used by: Car, Frieght Truck, Bus (no pedestrians)

Maintenance cost per month per segment: $.5

Costs to Build: $20

Max Speed: 80 KPH

Pros: Cheaper than Avenue. Better traffic speeds. Same traffic capacity.

Cons: Prone to lots of crashes. No pedestrians.

It's so dangerous, they are redeveloping it with two divided roads, two lanes each, with frontage roads.

EDIT: I'm a Mac user, so please don't use EXE!

EDIT 2: Roads can cross it and driveways, but cross-traffic doesn't stop.

is there a mod or can there be a mod made that allows diagonal roads, avenues, highways, and streets to look smoother. Also diagonal zoning and the ability to allow highways and avenues and streets that are diagonal to have neighbor connectionsas weel as one way roads please.21.gif

godjcjk12: Phew...those are quite the requests! Smoother diagonals would take a lot of texture work to change (like about 1000 or so). There is a tutorial on the site for that, but you'll have to search for it, because my bookmarks were erased. Diagonal zoning is something we definitely cannot change. We currently cannot make one-ways work on neighbor connections. All of this is not possible because it is all hard-coded into the EXE, something we modders cannot change. There is current research on diagonal highway/avenue connections, but don't exepect anything very soon.
