Don't just name a city just because it has like a million population or really cool things...

I think my favourite city name I have come up with has to be Blue Coast. Its only about 1/10 of the pop of my largest, but I REALLY love the name. The city itself isn't too bad either.

 

EDIT: This isn't about SC4 cities? Oh darn, well I'd probably have to say then, Kirkland, a suburb of Montreal near the western tip of the Island.

The Capital City of Kaneone

Pronounced Can-Own, the city is the Capital of Isla de Suenos and is quite possibly my proudest city name. I think its grand and suits the city completely, especially with the palace which is in the city.

umm...interesting names..

today i played sim city and started a new city ha ha

i am not sure if any real life countries have this name, but i made my city Trenton

and it sounds really cool ha ha..

 

and i would name the airport The Trenton International Airport or stock exchange: The Trenton Exchange and they sound sooooo cool ha ha..

i guess Calaprocita is OUT! XDXD

Ive been through quite a few actually, but here are some of them:
Stondon(My largest city yet, built late 2004, rebuilt early 2005)

In Fwandrei i had 4 towns, Chintose and Fujian beeing those with the nicest names.

Then came Shion, built this summer and is still beeing built on

But the name i like the absolutey most is Evarin, showcased in Pakkusena and its probably the most fun city ive ever built, and still am building offcource ^^ The name is a japanisation of my area name, Evlinge.

My favorite name so far would be from my last CJ, a development called Thirty Oaks, which is a real place in Maryland as well. I had a theme where almost all the names had plants in them, like Daphne Straits, Cattail Landing, Woodruff, Cranberry Harbor, Tamarisk, etc. But I also like my new region, New Kakerori, where all the names are Hawaiian or Polynesian.

I try to name my cities by the landmarks in within the city.  I have a city named Vesuvia with a dormant volcano (Mount Penance) in it.  There's a city with that has two rivers in it called River City (home of the Simleague Champion River City Rebels baseball team).  My farm region is called Solaren (so.LAR.in).  A city built on the small grid is called Littlefield.  I think my favorite city name though would be Devil's Peak.  It is home to Horne Mountain which splits into two seperate peaks.  That one or Sedgewick.  That city started when that new series was starting on TNT,  and I heard Kyra Sedgewick's name like 20 times a day.  I started thinking, Hmm,  Sedgewick would make a pretty good city name.
