My friend who is 16 has testicualar cancer its supposbly curable if caught earlythe only problem is it was not caught early my friend has had it every since december and never told anyone until finally he had to go get a physical which is required in my state to go out for sports anyway he didnt want to go and finally he was forced to tell his mom the bad thing is he waited so long now the cancer spread into his liver, lungs, stomach, and esphogus. If he would of told right away he wouldnt have to be going through so much crap heck I dont even know if he can live through this I am warning everyone here that if you see something wrong with yourself fix it right away or you could die of waiting to long. Anyway do you guys think its possible to live through that.

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

He'll probably live. Just yesterday, my neighbour came over to get the newspaper (she doesn't get it at her house) because one of her nephews (9 years old) had Lukemia, and he died in his mothers arms. He had it since he was 3 I think..

Oh man that sucks.15.gif Testicular cancer is really a threat.
I know that it is the widespreaded form of cancer by young males
(under 30 years of age). I check my testicles
regularly and if there would be something wrong, i would see a doctor
immeditely. Well, i hope everything goes well and your friend will win the
fight against the cancer.

Hopefully he can overcome this, like Lance Armstrong did. ( he had it, too, and it spread to his brain ).

SC4, Forevermore!

Currently preoccupied with architecture school...lurking with caution.

I think he will probably live, since the medical science has advanced a lot lately...
I had something in my neck that was a Dilapdated lynfact ganglion (is that right?) it was pretty big (not THAT big but if I rotated my neck it showed the bump) and I was taking it over the first six monthsd of the last year...
THEN I noticed a smaller bump in my neck, that got me worried since it seemed like the thing was growing (what could mean some kind of cancer), I got very worried, then I decided to do a byopsis surgery (quite simple, just a local anesthesy and a small cut) then the thing was sent over to a laboratory in another city, and the result would arrive only 1 week later...
That week was one of the wrost of my life, I was real worried with what that thing woudl be, but fortunately it was just a common dilapdation with no known causes (sometimes the ganglions do that by themselves)5.gif4.gif

I didn't pass trough the risk of life, but that was a heck of a week15.gif

Sorry to hear that. My father died from complications from cancer. The cancer was found in his liver and spread throughout his body.

Man, that's gotta suck. Waiting till now for your friend to tell someone that he has Testicualar cancer is just not cool. Telling it early is the best thing but some people do hide things like that until their pressured by someone to tell them what's wrong with them.

well, i think most people are afraid of side effects of treatment in that area. but none the less i hope your friend gets better soon.

i have a friend who got cancer when he was 2, but he got through it (he has a REALLY big scar on his stomach though, since they had to remove one of his kidneys)

i also lost both my grandparents on my dads side, and my grandfather on my moters side to cancer induced by smoking.

tell your friend that nosopforyou wishes him health!!!

I lost my grandmother on my father's side through stomach cancer,
she was only 43 when she died.8.gif
I'm very afraid to get cancer one day and therefore
i go regularly to my doctor and make a check up of my body once a year.
I'm just 24, but the earlier something worse is found,
the higher the chances are that you can be operated in time and will survive it.

Good. My father has cancer - the tough part is unfortunately just beginning. Be there for him, and be his friend.

That is excellent news that he passed the brain and bone scans. Cancer can be beaten. My mom has had it five times, the first time in 1972.
