What happens when a hard drive gets maxed? Is there like a warning that pops up or something?

 

Of all the computers I've owned I've never once hit the max, I have on CD and flash but never the main drive.

If you go to save a file larger than the remaining hard drive space you will get an error message saying the drive is full. Easy way to see what this looks like, get a small thumb drive and start loading it full of whatever. The error you get when you run out of space is the same one you'd get for the hard drive except it would say C instead of E or F.

These days filling up a hard drive takes work but I remember when my family had a computer with a 730 MB hard drive. We filled it up and had to delete some stuff to make room. My father ended up deleting most of my SC2K saved games in the process and I FLIPPED OUT.

And most of thoose are related to public transport xD

And I thought I took a lot of pictures! I've taken more than 32,000 photos but that's in nearly nine years, not just four. And mine only add up to about 80 gigs. Are you shooting in RAW?

I have about 10 gb worth of photos, not counting the ones on my phone which were all lost a few weeks back. Something happened with the sd card while I was plugging in the phone. It was odd. Trust me, I still have plenty of actual photos printed on thick glossy paper like people used to do. I haven't developed a roll in years though. I used to have a nice SLR but it was lost in a flood.
