I'd say judging by the number of my post, There is a 50/50 chance that will return.

But then what is there a 50/51 chance of?

Me posting?

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Just wanted to say I called the Hawks winning in six and

Some Coach somewhere, "I want 101% out of all of you!"

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

The Space Shuttle main engine could run at 109% of its rated power.

Not trying to start an argument, just talking for some back and forth, I want to point something out.  E=mc^2        For those that might not know E=Energy m=Mass c=speed of light

Since humans have a hard number for m and c is a constant than there is a hard ceiling on Energy output of a human based on the mass of the human (though what I think you're talking about is that we as humans are still unaware of what E equals when we include kinetic and potential energy) That is for physical performance, for Mental performance no one knows yet because no one has found a good way of getting a proper measurement, there is a physical limit but we don't know what the ceiling is, so we don't even have a clue what 100% is.

As far as the rocket, I hate when they do that, they have a fixed number they use for 100% and when it out performs expectation they add extra percentage. In the end it really has a different value for 100%. But yeah how do you compare them then so... 109% it is.

In the end anytime we humans go beyond 100% what we really are doing is going beyond Expectations, which seems we tend to underestimate what we can really do, or is it that as we grow and evolve we go beyond the previous limits?

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

I don't think anyone wants to make an antimatter human and turn all of themselves into pure energy. :P

More to the point, though, when at a sporting event you say "give me 101%", that is not just talking about energy output, it's also talking about athletic skill, which is a qualitative matter and therefore has no objective limits.

As far as the rocket, I hate when they do that, they have a fixed number they use for 100% and when it out performs expectation they add extra percentage. In the end it really has a different value for 100%. But yeah how do you compare them then so... 109% it is.

That's not really what's happening. Most mechanical or electrical equipment doesn't have hard limits to its output either - but operating it at more than 100% of its rated capacity accelerates wear and tear by placing undue stress on it, and as you go further and further you increase the risk of the equipment promptly failing (think of how the tachometer on your car has a red zone - the engine can rev up that high, but you don't want it to since it's bad for the car). "100%" is really just the furthest the manufacturer recommends you push it. Often safety features built into the equipment will prevent it from exceeding this point, but in such cases this "hard limit" is artificially imposed.

Also, for some types of equipment, the capacity can vary a lot depending on operating conditions. For example an air conditioner will have a rated capacity in BTU per hour that is one number, but in reality it is capable of pumping more heat outside on a mild day than it is on a really hot day. It is also capable of pumping more heat outside if the condenser coil is in the shade than if it is in the sun. It is even capable of pumping more heat outside if the condenser coil is wet rather than dry, although you shouldn't go spraying water on it if it isn't designed for that.

@Duke87    Yes!! you pointed out that it would be an all energy being , nice I mean after all it really is just a conversion equation. hmm  how about a dark energy being? Now that would be something lol.(that may have already been a Star Trek episode, one of the later series, but I can't remember off the top of my head)

Another little interesting tidbit is that there is a separation between Athletic Skill and Athleticism, at least it's debated in sports. Gets tricky, in Hockey I have enough of an eye for it but not much for other sports. In other words I can see why a player is considered more athletic than skilled but where it gets tricky is that it takes o so much athleticism to have that skill (some).  I think sports people like to argue about things without a definite answer. It's never who was the better team in the finals as well duh someone won but it's always "what if this or that"

As far as equipment I understand that the 100% is called at the top of the curve but it annoys me that technically 100% is further down the line and the max efficiency(if that is an ok term for rated capacity though it might be different) should really be like 90% or something. Just words and the definition of 100% not being constant. Just bs'ing a bit for conversation you understand.  You're very right about the coil, like everything else, there are so many variables it's tough to really tag it with a fixed number.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

I suppose you could put a range on the box rather than a fixed number, but that wouldn't help the consumer any... it'd just confuse people and get them asking questions that sales reps don't need to waste their time answering. One may assume the fixed number is near the middle of the range.

I never called it but I was hoping the entire time and I'm really glad it went the way it did.

My uncle is getting the cup for a little party and i get to go. I dont know if any players will be there but I wouldn't mind adding a few more signatures to my sweater.

Now I'm just gonna sit in a corner, wait for my favorite player Patrick Sharp to be traded, and cry. See all you guys later.

Also replying on mobile is really laggy and I've never done it before now.

UP = University of the Philippines? Hahaha.
Speaking of which, a new graduate just placed a record of having a QPI of 1.004. Highest is 1.000.
