I can take pictures with my real camera just as fast as with my phone. The only time it takes longer is when special circumstances (low light, close range, shooting directly towards the sun, etc.) demand I mess with the settings.

:D

I prefer printing the pictures and using a real camera... But who has those these days? (Also, when you lose your data, that's where you need to start worrying).

Dang it 111222333444!  You stole my number!   :rage:

Anyway, I like taking pictures, and it doesn't matter to me what I use to do so.

My Lumia has 8 MP I think (I own a 920). I really love the picture quality, especially when I take pictures at night. I use it quite often, contrary to my previous phone. This is a pic I recently took in Brussels, the uncompressed version is here.

Pretty!  I like it.

I would show a picture of mine, but they're all too big to be put on this site.

I don't do as much photography as I probably should.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I guess what I mean to say is that we have our phones on hand all the time, in our pockets, on top of the fridge, etc, and getting the camera out or having to haul yet ANOTHER thing with us is a pain.  It really makes me have a deeper appreciation for what my parents went through.

The 1020 uses its 41 MP (in practice: 38 MP) for oversampling. The result is a 5 MP photo (although I think you can access the 38 MP RAW-files too).

My little Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360's camera is only 2MP. But FAAAR better than taking photos or videotaping with a toaster or potato... [/sarcasm] :P

I don't care to take pictures with my phone because they come out so crappy but I never carry my camera. I don't even know where the charger for it is.

I am having a great and open discussion on Minecraft Forum. One that could not be held on Simtropolis because the topic would be forced to be one sided or locked.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Speaking of forums, you know what I love about Simtropolis more than other forums?

The fact that it takes a year and a half for a thread to die. I've seen that number as low as 3 weeks. 3 weeks and no one can post after that. Welcome to Simtropolis, where it takes a year and a half.

Yeah, some of us take some time between CJ updates. :P

(I'm totally working on one, honest!)

AARGH! Just saw two large rats running around my home. I managed to kick out one rat, but one is still at large, hiding in the nooks and crannies of my home. I HATE THEM.

EDIT: GRAMMAR CHECK! Ah well, I'm OC. :P

One time my dad stepped on a mouse barefoot in our kitchen.

Yuck.

Better a dead rat than a live one. Dead ones can be disposed of and won't come back.

My parents get a few mice in their house every so often. They have traps, it's no big deal. I've even cornered and killed a couple of them personally.

Never seen any rats in their house but I see them in the subway here in the city all the time. I don't know how well known this fact is across the world, but yes, the subway tunnels in New York City have tons of rats living in them. Due to the prevalence of litter it's a problem that's persisted for decades and no matter how much the MTA tries to fight back, there are just too many rats and too many nooks and crannies to ever get rid of them all. Meanwhile, New Yorkers see rats skittering about the tracks and don't blink. It doesn't typically bother most of us.

So that's not just an urban legend? We don't have any visible rats in our underground system, but that being said it's not nearly as extensive.

I've never seen rats, I think. But of course there are tons of rats in Brussels too, like in any city. I see mice regularly, sometimes in the garden or at the countryside, or when a cat is playing with one on the streets.

Dunno about Australia, but it seems that the altered name was used throughout Europe. It's a classic case of cultural differences: Americans compared to people in some other nations are generally not bothered by violence, Europeans are comparatively squeamish about it. The word "ninja" was deemed inappropriate for the title of a children's show in the Europe, and in many countries they also had to edit out the use of the turtle's ninja weapons.

This sort of crap happens coming into the US as well as going out of it. Megaman NT Warrior saw tons of changes in the English dub over the original Rockman.EXE anime. They changed the name of Fireman (one of the villains) to Torchman because they decided that they didn't want children to associate the name "Fireman" with a bad guy. But the name wasn't changed in any of the video games, just in that TV show!
