can someone make 3 mods..  basically it should be pretty easy...  just add drones to small fire police and clinics.

 

There are two mods that do exactly what you are asking.

 

The Drones Galore Mod will add the drone hangars to the police station, fire house and clinic. The will do exactly what it says. I'll also send this to you in a private message.

Just a crazy idea here - since city size is already being worked on - has anyone given thought to a mod that would let you add new city zones to the blank spaces not being used in regions? Seems like an awful lot of wasted land on a few maps that could technically let you expand your region without hitting the city size issue.?  =)

It's a shame they didn't just give us a true sandbox mode with a blank region, and the ability to just plop cities and regional road & rail.

Two mods I'd like to see are one that disables all the annoying messages (house on fire, crime in progress, buying or selling something from neighbor, ...) and another one that removes the fake ambient occlusion shadows on the buildings - the ones that make the building sometimes look like it has burned down (which should be stored in a single texture file like in The Sims games). Thank you in advance!

I think that shoppers and workers should be more balanced. So, like, low wealth sims shop in low and medium wealth commercial, medium wealth in any commercial wealth and high wealth sims shop in high and medium wealth commercial. I think that shoppers should only satisfied if they are able to shop at their own wealth level, though, commercial businesses don't mind who buys things in their shops.

 

I also think that jobs should be more realistic. What I mean is that any high density and most medium density commercial should take more medium wealth workers and less low wealth workers (right now they don't) because they're office buildings and it's mostly medium wealth that would work at an office building. And high wealth really shouldn't be working in offices at all. They should be owning the businesses, not working in them. Right?    :)

I have a request, I'm sorry if this have been asked before (i'm new to the forum, Hello all :yes: ).

 

I would like to have an offline mod for "Futurized all buildings and roads" without havings the need to use futurized buildings/utilities. I'm avoiding to play in Sandbox with "alt + u" because I wish to play progressively. I understand the means of "progress" that I need to tackle to archive - this however forced me to add futurized buildings/utilities/maglev and such at places that is not needed. (possible OCD, I'm not sure myself) - positive outcome is more free space for residentials/commercials/industrial etc. Consider this as a visual only mod.

 

It might can be as a small "anywhere tree" that i can plop which it could futurized its surrounding or a single small building that futurized the entire city or simply extend the futurized radius of current vanilla buildings. Sorry if I ask too much and English is not first language.

You have my gratituted for easing the plague that troubled my fantasy to have a small + low wealth + futurized mining town at badlands. :bunny:

Hi everyone. Thank you for all your hard work making the game better. I would like to request 2 mods. 1 very simple and another one a bit more tricky. They both involve the City sets.

 

MOD REQUEST: Allow the Big Ben, Eiffel Tower and Brandenburg Gate's area of influence to cover the whole map.

MOD MAIN GOAL: To allow the construction of cities made only of British, French or German-style buildings. All high wealth/medium density buildings throughout the map would be city-related.

 

MOD REQUEST: Create a mod with custom low and medium density - medium wealth buildings to be "created" under the influence of the Big Ben, Eiffel Tower and Brandenburg Gate.

MOD MAIN GOAL: To allow the construction of cities made only of British, French or German-style buildings

MOD DETAILS: This mod would allow the creation of more diverse British, French and German-style cities that have more than 1 type of building density. As of now, the only possibility is to have a single medium density - high wealth building under the influence of the 3 set landmarks. Ideally, there would be 9 different buildings for each of the three architectural styles (3x3 - (low, medium, high density) x (low, medium, high wealth). However, high wealth would probably be enough. I know this mod is more tricky, but it would unleash (together with the other request) a whole new set of possibilities for more diverse cities.

I was wondering if anyone is able to make a few more parks? I love pretty-ing up my city and I'm getting so sick of placing the same fountains and plazas..... I miss SimCity 4's array of parks :(  Especially small parks...I love having a rural and suburban city...

 

If this is not possible...is there a way to just make all the current parks be ($$$)?

 

 

Also a zoo would be fantastic! And some museums!

Something which should be improve is the filler lot. When you build a high density commercial area, or residential area, there's still some 2x1 home or shop in between the building just to fill the available space. And these lots won't get better anyway because of the space left. Modders should create 2x1 R$$/C$$ lot and/or rebuild the existing lot to fill those lost space between building. And maybe put growable square/park for the high density area.

GARBAGE MOD SUGGESTION

 

Hey all, I´ve got an idea for a mod, now if it´s already out there, please point me in that direction because I couldnt find it. 

 

I would like to be able to;

  • Import garbage to the trade depot/trade ports, not only from the cities in the region but from the market/"world", such as alloy, plastic etc can. 
  • Run that garbage thrue the recyclingcenters to get alloy/metall/plastic to sell and
  • run the rest of the waste (a cerntain procentage of non-recycable garbage) thrue a electric generating powerplant. 

 

Green electricity and money from garbage. Happening IRL, should be able to happend in SC5... 

 

Just a thought...

I would like to see a mod that makes extractable resources such as oil, ore, water, etc. unlimited in quantity. I really dislike how quickly they dry up now. I spend lots of money and effort setting up a supply chain only to soon see my critical resource run out.

Water can be renewable with a sewage treatment plant. If you place the sewage treatment plant close enough to a water treatment plant you will essentially create an unlimited water supply. There is a YouTube video that explains it, wish I could find it so I could give credit where it is due!

I have a mod request!

I would like to see some agriculture. I'm not sure if it's possible nor do I have the abilities required to make it happen.

It would be nice to be able to build a small rural farming town (or village using the German add-on) in some of the larger regions. It would be nice if it could be a city specialization that would require a water deposit or (this would be a challenge, I'm sure) a nutrient deposit. There could be a livestock farm which would require a grain farm for feed, There could also be a farmers market that would require produce, a bakery that would require both crops and grain, and/or a textiles factory that would require cotton or wool from the livestock farm.

The possibilities would be endless!

I know it's a tall order but it would be nice if we could get a few more city specializations.

At the very least could someone reskin a factory or two to look like farms to create an agriculture zone?

And a special Thank you to all of you modders for your contributions thus far, I really do appreciate your mods in making the gameplay more enjoyable (although my wife and kids hate you, LOL!). Carry on!

I have 3 huge requests for you kings of modding!

First request:

Can someone please create a mod to the amusement park set with a coastline based "east coast" boardwalk theme.

Ideas to include:

1. An elevated boardwalk path that can be placed on land along the shoreline with the ability to plop commercial and residential zones as well as casinos, landmarks, etc.

2. Possibly a boardwalk style pier that can be placed over water that rides and refreshment stands can be placed on.

3. Reskin some refreshment stands to include boardwalk games, surf shops etc.

4. Create a beach that can be placed on shore side of boardwalk that would generate money from beach tags.

5. Maybe include a mini golf, movie theater, aquarium, etc. As main attractions for boardwalk style amusement park

6. Entrance reskin of a gateway boardwalk entry.

7. Train reskin of a tram car that can be placed with multiple stops like street car avenue.

It would be nice to create an Atlantic City style tourist town with beaches, rides, casinos, venues, etc.

Second Request:

Create a mod, in a similar way as above, to the amusement park pack to include a first class golf course.

Ideas to include:

1. Golf cart paths and golf carts

2. A variety of greens to create different courses each time

3. Sand traps

4. Water hazards (similar to ponds in parks menu)

5. Reskin entrance as a club house

6. A pro shop, upscale restaurant, etc. As main attractions.

Third request:

Again, in a similar way, using the amusement parks pack, create a zoo.

1. Reskin entrance to be a zoo entrance.

2. Reuse paths, benches, and refreshment stands

3. Reskin secondary rides to be animal cages of zebras, monkeys, penguins, etc.

4. Reskin main attractions to be animal habitats for lions, bears, elephants, etc.

5. Keep carousel, train, and other zoo like rides.

6. Include a gift shop, picnic area, and restrooms

I know this is a lot to ask for and wish I had the know how to get started but I know you modders would turn out a much better mod than I ever could.

Thanks again for all your great mods thus far and keep up the good work. Please consider my ideas for your next project.

Maxis/EA, if your listening, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying, if you give us these kind of options as a DLC we would pay $$$ for it.

More attractive subway entrances would be great.

 

Also, a subway entrance that could be plopped as a free standing building (not straddling either side of a road) would be very useful, especially if the free standing entrance could be plopped on the pedestrian path. Then we could place a subway entrance off road and in a "parks" made with the pedestrian path.

I really like this idea!

can someone re-texture University Path and Service Roads to make it not look like a Dirt Roads. Service Roads make it black tar or something. Just a thought.

It would be nice to have some red brick paths for the universities!

WHAT ABOUT A SIMPLE MOD WHICH SETS UP EVERY PLOPABLE ITEM UP TO 10 OR SO, EVEN MEGATOWERS AND EVERTHING THAT COMES WITH COT.

 

ITS A BIT ANNOYING TO INSTALL TONS OF MODS WHICH ALL DO THE SAME. SOME OF THEM CAUSE PROBLEMS IF YOU COMBINATE THEM TOGETHER...

 

iS THERE A MOD FOR MEGATOWERS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FLOORS?? COULDN'T FIND ONE. ONLY 2 MORE WOULD BE GRAT !

I have a suggestion, how about a modified offline market cost that either adjusts it every hour of real time or else give us an option to change the value itself to something a bit higher. With the prices locked low in offline mode, they're trying to make sure people stay online.

I would like to see a mod to the mega towers that would make them look a little less futuristic. Something a little more NewYork or even something like the mega towers you see in China or Dubai. I like the benefits of having the mega towers but I don't always want my city to be sci-fi looking.

Ok, this is weird request...Im having problems with students failed to attend classes at the uni. Due to normal (terminal, depot,municipal) buses that have random destination that sometimes they didn't go to Uni/Colleges, Regardless how much or capacity that buses can take.

 

I need a mod for

 

  • Mass Transit mod for students only. (New plop-able bus lot for students only at Bus Depot, Terminal etc) + pick up students at "School Bus Stop" and not park and ride or normal bus stop.
  • or adding (Regional-able) School buses for University or College also pick up students at "School Bus Stop"- If could, add a new texture for the buses for these two buildings that doesn't look like Grade/High School buses.

 

This enrollment thing have been plagued me for weeks...
