I've got nothing to point out that's not already been shown here.  But, I'd like to at least mention that since I installed the new NAM, I can't do too much in any of my developed cities before the game CTD's.  I backed up the old NAM but it's a little vexing; I didn't think there'd be any issues with legacy support and what have you.  I'm not sure what the problem is, or how to troubleshoot for it.  Any ideas?

Note: I've gone over my plugins a few times to try to find any conflicting mods and such, but nothing has come up that jumps out as the problem plugin so far.

Keep calm and take photographs.

Are there going to be overpasses for Project Symphony Highways released in the near future? Or am I missing something?

i love NAM v31!  i did find a bug, however... i can't seem to lay down any new 6- or 8-lane ground freeways with concrete medians... ones that were laid down with v30 remain, but if i try to extend them or click them with the RHW tool, they become medianless...

2a8pans.png

to the left, is an RHW-6C to 6S transition (with median) from NAM v30... to the right, is an RHW-6C to 6S transition (with median) from NAM v31... note how the media disappears between the two versions.

what do i need to do to restore my medians to their previous glory?

as well, do we install NAM v31 directly over v30, or do we remove v30 before installing v31?

Not sure if this was mentioned... I couldn't really find anything on it (then again I'm banned from SC4D still).

But the Preview Models for the 8-C Orthogonal to FAR, and 8-C FAR to Diagonal are using the 6-C preview models. At first I thought they were duplicates, but I realized 8-C smooth curve capability was established! Good having these models, they work 100% fine. It's just the preview models that make it look like a duplicate set of the 6-C versions.

We, stardust, are the oddest observers of self (a.k.a. the universe).

I'm just a group of atoms typing this.

What do I know?

You just need to plop a rail piece on intersections if you want turning lanes now. Pretty cool I think!

Also, is it likely that Maxis pieces such as Toll booths will be updated to fit Project Symphony?

I draw my DD-Rhw using the RHW tool. and i use the Rail tool to draw the DD-RHW bridges, but i cannot seem to figure out how to join the two togather without a single tile of rail being place in between them both. am i doing this wrong?

The DDRHW Bridge was switched over to being RHW-based.

I can drag ddrhw using the rhw out of the starter piece, however, The game only allows me to draw a DD-RHW bridge over water when using the Rail tool.

-- How rude! Please note that you're dealing with a project people work on in their free time!

Also, what does this contribute to the bug reports? Any future posts like this will be removed without warning.

Just a side note here then on topic. My apologies for the language but posts like this piss me right off. These hard working VOLUNTEERS who probably have RL jobs and RL problems have worked their butts off for over a year on this thing and you have the freaking audacity to post something like that. I see you have 2 posts - what's the name of your real account? What didn't have the balls to post it under your main? You should be ashamed of yourself for acting like that! My 4 year old acts more mature than that!

On topic - Been finding a lot of bugs with the attempting L0 - L1- L2 overpasses near each other mainly with overrides and more that most have already been posted here. I'll post screens as I dig up more provided they are not listed here. Great job NAM team!

It should also be noted the first few days post-NAM release are like this. Opening the mod to everyone means more eyes to point out bugs and any other issues we missed, and will be fixed in a update about a week or so after the initial release.

I think reading the amount of bugs has honestly at first, disheartened me a little, as I felt a bit jibbed that we were almost getting a "half complete" setup.

However upon going custom installation, I am really beginning to appreciate the immense work that the team are putting in. There are many sections of the NAM that won't by design work with each other (mainly things like Euro/American textures), but this just really shows the immense options that the team has done to allow us all to customise our own playing experiences. I must have spent a good 5 minutes just going through the options and picking which sounded best. Whilst I'm at it, I'd like to give a shout out to MandelSoft and many of the others that worked on the texturing.

Another thing people need to remember is, this is something some very talented programmers have created out of their free time, balancing between their IRL commitments and other issues. To be quite honest, the amount of things added would mean I would be more than happy to splash a bit of money if you guys decided to charge. So whilst the bugs may be frustrating, I think we just need to take a bit of time exploring the new NAM 31 and report any issues that may arise.

Once again, thankyou NAM Team. Installation is done now, off to give this a spin.

Apologies in advance if this bug has already been reported, or if it is not really a bug.

It appears that the project symphony level 2 MHW to elevated avenue transition (as highlighted in the image) is not UDI enabled in the north-bound direction. However, UDI works fine in the south-bound direction.

One thing I would suggest is to remove all your plugins except the NAM... A top priority is to solve any core bugs first, then plugin compatibility and other issues.

Thanks for your help guys! :)

I did just that and here's what it came up with:

In this image I removed only the entire NAM 31 Plugin folder. Left everything else, no boxes on my roads. Good there's no boxes but this image honestly scares me.

    XmAIOn9.jpg

In this one I removed everything but the NAM 31 Plugin folder. No boxes again.

    gUDPpRR.jpg

EDIT: I ran some tests and found that my boxes problem on page 1 was coming from the "Street" and "Road" folders which contained files such as "zJPN_SideWalk_Street_Default_RC$$$" and "zJPN_SideWalk_Road_Default_RC$$$" and the other wealth classes. They should be .DAT files. I can't remember but the files most likely came from this Japanese road mod. Moving those two folders out of my Plugins folder solved my problem.

No doubt though that virtually all players with Japanese-styled cities and roads that downloaded the NAM 31 will encounter this problem, too.

I would like to report that the model preview for the 15m avenue corner is offset by 1 tile.

The new NAM doesn't play nice with rivit's tunnel mod. The wrong tunnel entrances appear. My mistake

Also, does the new monorail include a slope mod? It seems to interfere with my own slope mode (JCS tunnel modd, which I have changed myself to have it work with rivit's aforementioned mod). Or maybe the extreme slope mod was included in the previous bullet train mod? I used the BTM extensively to create realistic slopes.

I don't know if this has something to do with NAM 31, but since installing it, my terrain looks different. I use the Columbus Terrain Mod. It still looks like Columbus, but somewhat different... Less green...

fmk: This was known before the release date, however the ramp is still functional due to 1 correct path each way and wasn't fixed for release.

You’ll create a NAM 31.1 version to publicly fix these issues?

We’ll just run the NAM 31.1 installer without uninstalling the (buggy) NAM 31?
