This is a superior city. I think you have paid enormous attention to detail. Compositionally it is very pleasing also. Somebody mentioned that you have too many highways for absolute realism. I think thats ok because of how nicely constructed and connected your communities are within your road networks. Everything has a very clean look to it but in a way that is charming not boring. This is different from the way i build my cities but i am fond of it. I am going to post my CJ soon. Its going to drop a bomb on simtropolis.

I'm getting envious. Are you developing so fast or am I just too slow?!  Mandursuro has grown enourmously since I last saw it, and I saw a thousand (okay, seriously: half a dozen) custom buildings and some other things I wanna do in my city as well.  An inspiring journal!

and now i have an updated regional view of Mandursuro. The freeway heading up the coast and into Sheeron International is the Airport Freeway 50 and is another option to get from the airport to Santa Terra other than the ferry system that is in construction as of now.

Whoa! That regional shot shows that I've missed a lot of awsome developpment *backtracks to read it all*, but you didn't make an confusing mess of highways leading to every inch of the airport (To make it a realistic Toronto airport). But, it looks very nice I must say, we need to thank joebr joerg (Type-os are a killer) more often (It is his airport mod, right?) Keep up the good work, as always!

Dodge44: no actually i do not right now. I just finished the airport and i wont be running that city too much because the airport is the only thing in the city and is pretty much done. But i am guessing that if i did keep on running the city, there would be lots of crime, but i have a couple of airport security stations made by joerg in the airport and that might lower it down a bit(the original was a landmark but i changed it to work as a real police station)

Its been a long time since i last saw this journal.  I see it coming along very nicely.  I am completely in awe at the airport , however, i dont think different runways of the airport and terminals like that are normally split up, and have no taxiway access.  (Just road)  Either way, its astounding.

Dolfan: thanks for such a nice compliment. Although I do not know what you mean by roads. As i see in a lot of airports because i travel a lot, usually theres the tarmac around the terminal and then pathways of tarmac between runways, or as some have, just intersections of runways they take, just like mine. utora: wow i am stunned that you would subscribe to my city journal! thanks! although as i figured out you cannot subscribe to threads over a certain amount of pages, and this has hit that limit so although i am very happy you would subscribe to my city journal, it doesnt work (you can subscribe but youll never get an email/PM)

 

riffsyphon1024: i made those parking lots myself. theyre 1x1 blacktop and black parking overlay texture with two streetlights.  everthing seems to dissapear when you zoom to level 1 it looks like a bunch of 1x1 streets which doesnt put a too good of an look which i didnt like.  at zoom 3 you can see parked cars, flowers on the sides of the streets, and the parking lot texture which looks really nice.

 

Mikeaut1 asked for a transportation map, ill be getting that up hopefully today, with 1 day time shot up close at the parking lots for riffsyphon1024!

ok now i have the requests for a transportation map and a close up of the parking lots in Sheeron International Airport.

 

first off, heres the transportation map

 

 

also if youd like to see a bigger, and better graphic transportation map, it is located right here

 

and finally, here is a closer up shot of the parking lots in Sheeron International for riffsyphon1024. As i said before, it is a black base and overlay texture for the parking lots that are 1x1 and 2 streetlights made by myself. The garages are a lot made by joerg included in his airport pack.

 

 

Well thats it for now, the update i talked about before should be comin maybe mid week if i have time or maybe in another week. as i said before, i am not available during weekdays anymore this summer except for late at night.

Personally, I am not a fan of the Airport parking for some reason beyond my minds control but it does look ok, but the region shot is looking good~!

ive had some suggestions from others saying that the far away zoom of the parking lots looks a little too black, same with closeups and needs some lighter colors.  Well i put that suggestion to use and came up with these shots...i would like to have a vote. Just tell me if you like the old version or this new one.

 

one more thing, one more vote id like to have is if you like these smaller yet greatly higher quality photos or my older, bigger, less quality photos. The radius of the shot will be the same if it is smaller, just errrm...smaller!

 

im showing the same photos from the last two updates (except for the transportation map) with these new parking lots...nothing much to say about these photos, since i already talked about them in my airport update
