Just a thought... Has any one looked into finding a free installation program for the NAM? Preferably one that would allow you to choose which pieces and files you want. That way there would be no need for manual installation.

the rail overpasses are from Marrast and the road, ave, etc. are parts of the NAM ... great job on those roads. I'm to much of a gridder -
Okay, I need help doin railings (i mentioned this a while back and am still stuck) here is a pic that i'll do my best to describe: [hosted offsite] http://img28.exs.cx/img28/2378/NAMturn20.jpg width=35 align=middle vspace=1 border=0> See the railings... i need help making them curved (to follow the curve of the road... and i tried using a bend modifier but it did not work for me, in a way that would make the appropriate curve...) as you can kinda see i made a straight rail for the very end (closest to the bottom) this would not work very well up at the top... so suggestions appreciated!

how about a puzzle piece that allows you to turn. *Edit* non-appropriate portions removed and moved to the NAM developement thread

I'm no expert, but here it goes... I am assuming you are talking about making the normal streets brick roads (sorta what the mod does), but instead of just doing it for rich people you want it done for everything... that being said... its actually quite simple (at least in words) you have to replace all of the normal street textures (i.e. wealth, nothing, those sorts of things) with brick road textures... and all i know from there is that you have to replace the FSH textures... if you want to see, look in the dat for the mod... see if you can find any FSH textures (especially the brick ones)... well thats it from me hope i helped in some way, (or not)... either way I'M DONE! good luck (p.s. it would be neat to have brick roads everywhere, in place of streets).

very cool region! Votes: white/black mix smaller but higher quality -
This is an awesome idea!!! now on to my gripes if you want call them that. 1st the trams should stick to rails (as some other big mods *cough* NAM *cough* cough*) uses them and implementing the trams on them would not allow the two to coexist. 2nd monorails are a no-no. simply because these would normally be implemented in say theme parks and areas where you want to transport people relatively small distances. 3rd and lastly, one problem with connecting ground rails with el rails is the fact that people can make the el rails turn into subways (which could be problematic for people trying to do UDI) well thats my opinion... oh yeah... release a beta (if only to those in who read the thread) then when its more stable you can release it to the masses.

Date:8/6/2004 8:56:31 PM Author:Deaf2 okay... here is a better version of the turn i made a while back but i've caught a snag. I do not understand how to make the rails (and even less so as its at a curve). So if any one out there knows how to and wants to share please do or pm me with ur email (or just post it) so i can send u a zipped up version of the gmax file (the roads will be included for reference). Take a look a the pic below (remember its very simple, as i cannot do much more until i find out how to do the rails). [image Hosted Off-Site] any help appreciated...quote> Can any one give me any ideas on how to pull the rails off (note they are the drk grey hings in the picture)...

I agree with qwerty697 I think the avenue would be quicker for the both the designer and the modder... plus I would love this type of intersection so that I could make my avenues more like highways... P.S. builderman awhile back i posted a pic of a turn i did... now it is just an idea, but if you just made turns out of puzzle pieces then you could use all the existing on ramps for puzzle pieces then just use two turns to get it onto the network you want... see below for a little descripition of what im t talking about. R R R R R DNT> DN DN DN DN DN DN DN DNTv R R R R R R ON Ramp T^ T> OFF Ramp R (going from the one ramp going up then right (on the dual network turn), then traveling across the Dual Network then on the down turn (on a dual network turn) and finaly to the right and onto the off ramp..) the best benefits about these pieces are that they are multi purpose as the regular turns could be used anywhere (something i have wanted for a little now) hope this helps in some small insignificant way !!!

Amazing city whiteshark as always... keep up the good work... (side note - the moderators cannot delete the pic per se because the are hosted off site.)

Well, here is just a thought about the naming of the one-way ramps... instead of reverse01 (like in the pictures awhile back)... you could say right out (as in right hand side off ramp, or you could say right off), and left in (or left on)... and instead of forward01 (also in the pictures)... you could say right in (or right on), and left out (or left off)... if that's too long you could always go with r out, l in... r in, l out... but that could confuse people even if you put it in the Readme . Well that's my $ 0.16 (couldn't forget tax )
