I killed the most hours of my life playing Railroad Tycoon II.

SC4 comes a close second, but I never stayed awake all night playing it ;)

I love that game. I used to play it all the time when I was younger. Granted, I never actually got good at it or fully understood it, but I still enjoyed playing it.

Need For Speed III

Need For Speed: High Stakes

Age of Empires

Age of Empires II + expansion

Empire Earth + expansion

Empire Earth II + expansion

Sim City 2000

Sim City 3000

Sim City 4

Battlefield 2 + expansions

The Sims

Sim Copter

Sim Tower

Streets of Sim City

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

I agree Need for speed are good, I generally don't play car games or like them, I get bored quickly, but the need for speed games are fun to play and have more verity in them, it’s always fun running from the Cops , they seem to be the best made,

It's really the older ones in particular. The newer ones don't catch my attention as much.

On the subject of Ocarina of Time, I find that people say that the Water Temple is the most annoying, frustraing and hard temple in the Zelda series, and the most confusing. (coughStoneTowerTemplecough) But I find that this dungeon isn't hard, but tedious. It's my least favorite because the iron boot, Kokiri boot switch is tedious. The Dark Link boss, I'll be honest, was not as good as it should have been. It should have been in the Shadow Temple, but it's either too hard or too easy, depending on your item status. Just wondering if anyone else thinks the Water Temple isn't hard, but annoying.

The Water Temple was indeed tedious, but I liked how each temple had a different style to it. The water temple was a real maze, the forest temple was a puzzle, the fire temple involved problem solving, etc.

I like in the end that Ganon's Tower included all of these themes into one final challenge before you faced the boss.

Easter egg: did you know you can defeat Ganondorf with a empty bottle? :P

I did know that. If you spin attack Ganondorf's beams, they go twice as fast.

As for the Temples, my favorite to worst would be

Forest love the music, the item, the boss was the best, the puzzles were the best, I like the twisted corridors and courtyards, it's my Number 1 Zelda dungeon (Don't sue my Earth of Great Bay Temples, please :( )

Spirit Love the music, it was fun boss was a load of fun, but easy

Shadow Like the atmosphere, but was too straight forward, kinda of so so design, knocked out of my chair by ReDeads

Fire Not a big fan of either version of the music, too straitforward, the room with the boulders

Water Explained already, Great Bay Temple in MM made up for it.

I also spent quite a few hours of my life enjoying the Railroad Tycoon series, having played both the first and second adaptions. I'd say those two games are fairly high on my list of games, along with Transport Tycoon.

I'd say it's difficult to pick a number one game for myself though, if I had to choose I'd go with either Railroad Tycoon II or Transport Tycoon.

@mamaluigi945 You play as Luigi in SSBB, don't you.

Actually, I mostly play as Falco, Fox, or Pit.

The Sims 2 is most likely the game I have played the most.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

How was that game anyway? It looked interesting when I first saw it in a store. I was about to get it way back when, but I believe I ended up choosing one of the Airport Tycoons over it.

I thought it was a great game with lots of replayability. The scenarios were well done for the most part, some were incredibly hard (like the India one, where sometimes you'd have to restart the scenario because you didn't have any goods you could transport), and it had a brutal stock market - the AI players can have your company bankrupt in a heartbeat if you're not paying attention to your finances.

They did a really nice job of having trains from the early days all the way to the Eurostar - loved seeing those babies zipping around.

I play as Lucas (mother 3 US, please), Ness (I like Earthbound), Olimar (people underestimate his combos), Link/Toon Link, and occasionally Meta Knight. My items are usually smash ball, Dragoon, bombs, and look at my username

I also like Pikmin as a game, so I tend to play as characters I play as elsewhere

    Fallout 3 & Bishock. I can't choose!

I loved the feel, story and the combat system of Fallout 3.

So much so that I'm willing to overlook the fact that its the most buggy game I've played.

Bioshock was just great in all ways.

But at a close second comes SC4, third comes The Sims. I dare not think of the amount of hours I have spent playing those games.

    Honourable mentions:

    Bayonetta

Need for Speed: Hot pursuit 2 (for the ps2)

    Burnout 3: Takedown

    Borderlands

    Half-Life, the original version.

So many a Headcrab hath fallen to my crowbar. The Black Mesa complete source remake, though, turned my supple cupcake of a love for the game into a glorified towering cake of sweet, sweet bliss.

I had lots of good times with Fallout 3 back in the day. Mine would crash to desktop every 15-30 minutes, and I never found a solution to that, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I just can't get myself interested in games like that these days; I bought New Vegas on a bargain recently, but I haven't played more than a few minutes of it.

It’s funny i never really had thous problems with fallout, but then other games I’ve had problems with and other people haven’t
I had the same felling with the 2 games and in my opinion fallout 3 has a far better story line than New Vages, or maybe it the nostalgia of exploring the wastes for the first time and you walk around aimlessly looking for megaton, “when” they release Fallout 4 it had a lot to live up to.

I'm surprised a game about murdering innocents and leading a life of crime is number four.

I'm not. GTA IV has great gameplay, controls and graphics. The story is cinema-quality and there's always several things to do. It's simply fun and exciting.

I can't deny the gameplay mechanics aren't fun as all hell, I've spent many an hour roaming Liberty City. I just wish the content wasn't as, 'gritty' as it was? I also loved their method of loading as you traveled, and not relying on static loading screens.

I personally don't know what to think about this kind of game. I know that it is banned in around 50 countries, but here in the US of A, media can't be blocked*. I find no appeal in this, considering that I've never played any of them.

I would say Simcity3000, I enjoy the sound track and I really don't care about the graphics because I've played the game for so much longer then any other game out there.

MIDTOWN MADNESS 2 I love that game, it's been sitting on my game shelf while Sim City 4 and Cities XL are being picked up and moved, its just sitting there.

Some good games have been brought up here, we have a variety of tastes in games here, but I'm still going to stick with good old Ocarina of Time. Watching Link develop as a character was the best aspect. SPOLIERS watching Link pull the Master Sword, awaken Saria, Darunia, Ruto (-.-), Impa, and Nabooru as the sages and finally delivering the best final blow in th series. The dungeons were (for the most part) the best, the music was the best (gerudo valley, castle town), it was just, the best.

But the best moment was when you're running up Ganons tower and the organ just gets louder and louder as you go up to the top. And then when you do go in...

Alpha Centauri and Rise of Legends are the two games I regret not getting the most. :/

Galactic Civ was..... decent. It lacked a lot of realism though, and the alien species looked FAR too humanoid for my personal taste (sorry I have a personal vendetta against scientific inaccuracies).

Civ 3 > Civ 4 (in my honest opinion)

Ah yes... The Sims 2. How insane I went creating your own regions using SC4 and going absolutely nuts with the build and buy mode. I even created a Las Vegas replica (using the 15+ story max cheat) and making a bunch of attached neighborhoods based on real neighborhoods within Vegas. Including the Old Town as the business-district, some cliche random residential area out in the desert (similar to the in-game Strangetown), the LV Strip as the downtown, and UNLV as the college-town. Only one of many conglomeration of neighborhoods I made! So much fun!

And of course, Empire Earth... It was my all-time favorite RTS and I still wish my old desktop could run it :/
