I checked, and found nothing similar to this, so this is where you can showcase your transit hubs or centers, which I define as "Where all your city's public transportation comes together in one spot for easy transfer"

Here's one in a fictional region i made. It has connections to both regional and long-distance rail, subway, buses and the El-Rail(Seperate from the subway system) system:

Here's another one I have, not as big but still significant.

Now that i have posted mine, I want to see yours!

I'm actually a bit surprised to see no other replies on this thread. I personally think it's a pretty good idea for a thread. Plus I don't build any freeways in my cities so I find it nice I have an area to share my favorite things to build in SC4, transit systems.

Today I will be showing just one station in the City of Vancouver Waterfront Station. Named after the real Waterfront Station in Vancouver it serves as a hub for the City's commuter rail system, inner-city rail, and streetcar system. The City's main bus transfer is located 2 blocks South on Dunsmuir Blvd. and can be accessed on foot by the Main Street Greenway.

The station is home to 3 commuter rail lines leading East and South throughout the Metro Vancouver region. North and Westbound lines operate out of the West End Commuter station in the City's West End neighborhood. Waterfront Station also serves VIA Rail and Amtrak passengers.

Waterfront Station, at the corner of Main Street and Waterfront Blvd.

The two small Maxis row homes between the station and the raised park were originally used for station workers that lived on the station property so they could be on hand for any issues. Today they are used for storage, some station offices, and the top floors are used for switch operators.

screenshot20130124at124.png

Note: The maxis "medium plazas" will be re-lotted into a long continuous greenway.

Here is a wide angle shot of the station showing the large raised park over the switch yard. This provides a nice area for Downtown residents to rest and relax since the construction of the station removed the City's largest park, Waterfront Park. The small station where the raised park cuts away is used for VIA Rail and Amtrak.

This is just a shot of the rail lines and yards that lead to Waterfront Station and the industrial warehouses in the Port District.

Hope you like them!

The closest thing to a hub in Galesfeburg... avenue going to downtown off the top, highway going off the bottom, train station, and there's a bus stop just off of the top of the image on the avenue... and the thing in the bottom left corner is another bus stop.

    Very nice Jazzmaster! +1'ed you!

Without a doubt Witburg Station is the largest transit hub I've ever made. The Tokyo Station BAT is it's centrepiece.

As always from me, click images for full size.

The station as it looks today. The surrounding area is being extensively reconstructed.

EDIT: I also did an entry in my SC4 Archives thread about building its original form. Click to see pics that show how I made it: http://sc4devotion.c...12859#msg212859

Oh my, that's an impressive station. Love the area around it, especially.

The redditors being directed here is rather funny too.

Leaci what mod is that to get that kind of train station? And everyone else what mods did you use? Those hubs look amazing!

    rail version:

    HSR version:

    GLR version:

    dependency:

There's links to the dependencies on the STEX page, but STEX links to the dependencies no longer work due to ST site changes, links to dependencies on the LEX still work so I won't place them here. The HSR and GLR would also be required for those version of the stations.

GLR I believe is a part of the NAM: http://www.moddb.com...twork-addon-mod (the NAM is also required for a lot of the stuff shown here)

    HSR:

    dependency (HSR only):

The regular rail version only requires the 1st dependency and the two LEX dependencies linked to on the STEX page.

Closest thing to a hub in Seahaven - the main railway station, the streetcar line, and buses from most lines call at this station. Since Seahaven is (was) a small town, not much was needed in the ways of facilities, lanes, etc.

This here is the Squire City Central Station, servicing the High Speed Rail and heavy rail that spans the whole region as well as the local light rail system and providing bus links. All conveniently located near the Squire City Financial District.

Well, let me bump this thread :P; a new transit center in the middle of a dense city; it serves subway, bus, light rail/tram, suburban rail, and urban rail; one day i'll extend the tram via the avenue tunnel and connect that part of the city to the tram network.....

I've changed a lot of a heavy rail to High Speed Rail in one city. While developing new HSR I've also added new lines/connections to neighboring cities. With these changes a new transit hub was needed, I've built the one below, now it is one of the largest transit hubs in the city.

I've around four of these transit hubs in a city I am working on. Here is one that services High Speed Rail, Monorail, EI/Subway and regular rail for the southern outer suburbs.
