Actually I was just thinking I could make some Brisbane Towers only (or Australian Towers)... That's the one thing that gets really tedious with making Melbourne BATs is the bases are always huge and complex, but I'm going for a recreation so I'm kind of stuck with having to make them. I could make a side project of Brisbane towers with standalone made up bases that are more US-like and SC4 lot compatible, plus Brisbane has some great modern buildings.

Towers take next to no time to make, Infinity tower was a day, but that's only because I painstakingly attached each one of those white line things on the bottom left corner exactly as they are in RL, then I got jack of it and made the rest up  . Plus scouring for references was time consuming >.<

The Brisbane Tower looks really snazzy and those blue outer lines snaking up the building look kind of sexy, I'm thinking ribbons...

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Thanks for Aurora Tower, I had seen it but wasn't sure what it was called. Not sure about Waterfront place.. its a bit of a behemoth (although I haven't seen it from the other side). The other one I was looking at is One One One Eagle Street. Thanks for the suggestions :thumb:

Great work once again Red! You have just made what exactly I was hoping for, towers with shopping malls... :D

To be honest, that's about 70% of Australian Skyscrapers. Few are properly standalone like a lot are in most of the US.

I'm loving Infinity Tower! They took ages to build it. I was in the city a few weeks ago but didn't see it, I used to see it from the Train nearly every day when I had to go to Uni.

Is that so? I've learned something new today. Hahaha. I don't often see skyscrapers with malls in Manila or around the Philippines, more often than not, malls are a separate entity.

It's true. Even my suburban shopping mall has a six storey office tower attached to it!

Yes please!   (and State Library as well if that's not being too cheeky? :P)

You sure you mean the State Library? That's an old, ugly monolith in Southbank. Basically the same complex as QPAC, the Science Center and GOMA. The big tall building at the top of Queen Street has the City Library if I'm not mistaken.

Oh yes! They're my favourite buildings in the GC, quite Docklandish as well apart from the height :P

Thankyou thankyou thankyou :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:  This is very helpful. I can hopefully get some idea about the tower's footprint size as well now. I can't believe how quickly they update their images.. quite amazing really.

Now.. anyone within actual visual distance of the tower (Lindsay? ;) ).. can you please tell me whether that long strip down the white-stripey side of the building, is that there on completion, or was it just there during construction? I saw another image where it looked like it was being filled in. Its definitely a difficult building to make good sense of!

    - oh, I must not have checked Bing Maps, I just looked then, Infinity Tower is actually there, albeit under construction... maybe I only looked at Google maps... oh well. these are much better :thumb:

Edit: Ah.. it's there on Bing in aerial view but not Birdseye view... !

Not sure what you mean, but how you have it there looks pretty much how it is now

The state library of Victoria will probably be one your most outstanding bat! I can't wait to see it over  :thumb:

As always, what a wonderful job you did. I'm really impressed.
