Darmok: Hey John. Good to see ya back from vacation (although I'm sure you wish you were still on it2.gif) Thanks my friend. Hopefully the "Original Idea"
turns out ok43.gif. It's by far my biggest project...
bat: Hey buddy. Thanks again for your continued support44.gif
PhilsCafe: Hey buddy. Thanks my friend. I enjoyed your "mini update"2.gif
jacqulina: Hey Jacky my good friend. Yeah Cycledogg did a great job with the terrain mod. It make's us Cj'ers work much easier. Thanks for your continued support..9.gif
patriots_1228: Hey buddy. Yes I know about the original. To be honest I have a mod that eliminates the Maxis landmarks, so I don't use it. I hope it will be at least as good. Wish me luck.29.gif. Thanks for your comment concerning the underwater ruins area...
eggie99: Hello and welcome to my cj my friend. Thanks very much...44.gif
    luigiguy:Thanks mate...
cityhawk: Hey buddy, no problemo my friend. Come by when you can44.gif. The dead looking tree and the ruined little houses are a couple of my BAT's, The sunken boat is Pegs actually. I just Lot Edited it to put it underwater.. Only props will go underwater, buildings won't, you also need to change the tile to a water tile in the LE. There is more to it. If your interested PM me early next week (no time this weekend) and I'll send you the info you need to make your own underwater city. It's actually quite fun to do29.gif And of coarse thanks for your kind words my friend...
    usnaguy:Thanks my good friend..
owenluby: Thanks buddy.. Love your Avatar2.gif
aleko: Hey thanks my friend. I tried to get into your journal earlier today, but it kept freezing up on me. I don't know why.46.gif I'll try again on Sunday if I can...
crazychickensc12: I certainly hope so. Thanks my friend...44.gif
    cowcorn:Thank you very much mate...
errea: Hey thanks mate and welcome to simtropolis44.gifI'm honored that you picked my journal for your first post. I hope to see you again soon..
natedoggg: Thanks buddy and welcome. To switch to day or night is easy. When playing, in the bottom left corner of your screen, you'll have three main buttons, two heads, a sun and a car (I think), press the sun button (the top one), then three sub buttons appear, the top two will switch you from day or night (your choice), the last button works on a timer, after a little time passes it will switch from day to night, then night to day etc.. I hope this helped...44.gif

Update 36 Dam lakes and rivers (notice how I spelled DAM2.gif) Dedicated to jacqulina
    macedonasorchincj2wx.gif

Hello everyone. Thanks for your great comments. They are always welcome... Just a simple update tonight... Too busy and tired for anything else. This will be the last update until next week as I am completely tied up (not literally darn it43.gif) this weekend... I have created a little lake on the mountain and a Dam that keeps it in check. There are also going to be plenty of underground rivers throughout this mountain (or hill) side too...

Here we go... This is the area I'll be working with today...
    waterwayyh3.jpg

Lets first start with simgoobers canal system to keep the lake in check...
    waterway1mu9.jpg

Lets continue...notice to the right the canal will turn into a lake...
    waterway2mr3.jpg

    Lets continue with the lake...
    waterway3af1.jpg

    Time to finish it...
    waterway4pc5.jpg

    Cool. Now lets add flora...
    waterway5ky0.jpg

To finish I'm going to add trees to the surrounding area...
    waterway6jk1.jpg

Now we'll work on the area below the Dam...
    waterway7iy3.jpg

Lets add some trees here too...
    waterway8il7.jpg

And a final panned out pic...
    waterway9fv7.jpg

Thanks everyone. Time for me to go to bed. I'll try to post some comments in your journals Sunday evening... If not for sure early next week. Have an amazing weekend...

Nice! I do have one question, though: Where is this area located in relation to your cities?

Hi Steve. That lake is awesome. I especially like how you've combined the SimGoober locks with the natural look of the lake, very creative.

Btw, I wondered what set did you use for the lake?

    Take care buddy.

    - Phil

EDIT: My 1300th post, by the way 4.gif.

Interesting set up in those hills...I like the river and the way you made the canal set look like a dam.Aswell as the waterfall....very nice!

Good job so far and I might consider starting a new CJ,but with this new CJ section thing...I might not even put up my new CJ....

Hopefully either they will make the new CJ section work or just leave the good old CJ forums we have here...
