Hey Steve.

What a coincidence... I'm working on a seaport too at the moment. Although I often switch to other parts, beacause I have trouble using the PEG industrial CDK pieces. They always lower the terrain irreguarly (although I'm using the leveler and also the seaground is at the samelevel everywhere in my port area...). This can be so annoying.

However, looks like you're doing much better than I do. I like that you use both elements, the PEG cannal pieces and the CDK. That looks very nice and realistic. But I also liked the cross layout. Did you notice that it looked like an anchor?

What seawalls are you using in picture 12-14, btw? They look awesome...

Great Job with the Seaport area Steve.  I really like what you have done.  The only thing that doesn't really work for me is the difference in water color.  I don't really think there is a way to remedy that though.  Oh, I did want to mention that my favorite part was how you setup the lighthouse.....Nicely done my friend.

Very nice indeed this seaport you are making, I quite like how you solved the problem with a inner harbour, but to me it doesn't look realistic that there are openings to the sea at both ends of the docks. Futher it looks splendid.

    Great Update Sorchin.

    I have not been able to browse Simtropolis a lot of late, but this one I cannot pass.
    Nice harbour, great use of SG canal pieces. Nice touch that mobil gas station almost next to the mobil tanks, but what does that Shell sign do there?

    I really like how youve made this seaport, and I still am looking forwards to seeing it done. although, I must say that I am not sure about placing that Kobe tower there, but if you like it, its good!2.gifAnd the other thing is that In my opinion, the gas station right in the middle of the industrial area is a little awkwardly placed purely realistically. if I lived right above there, I wouldnt drive to the seaport every time I needed gas, so I would reccomend putting the gas station somewhere right in between the residential area and the seaport. else than that, great work! cookie for you16.gif!

    Really great development Steve.  I like how the ares is coming together.  The little things are really making the difference too....Like the water flora and even the Shell Sign near the entrance to the port area.

    I love how seamlessly you piece everything together.  It really DOESN'T look pieced together one thing at a time, it looks like it all came together at once.

    First, that seaport of yours is very original! The use of those canal tiles is a great idea man! And not only that, but it is done in a realistic fashion!

    I've been looking (basically off an on all afternoon while doing other things) for the water flora you used in your update... but I simply can't find it.  I love the effect it gives your waterways!  Do you happen to know what the plop mod is?

The Exxon is just behind the Shell one facing the other way19.gif The other signs could simply mean some of the other Industrial buildings are other Oil Company buildings.     WOW! That update was seriously one of the best I have ever seen on simtropolis! Your use of the flora mod is breathtaking, especialally around that pier! Your seaport design is not only realistic, but stunningly beautiful! This has to be one of the greatest CJ I've ever seen, the visuals and design are so amazing! I am so impressed by this that I'm nominating you for a trixie right now! 29.gif29.gif You deserve one just for the beauty and uniquness of these pictures, let alone all the effort and work you've put into this! 2.gif

    I use both the same trees as you in my CJ! They look just stunning in your scenery. 44.gif

    Just one thing, I was wondering where you got the Cobb Pier from because I've been unable to find it on the STEX. It it japaneese like the Beautiful Kobe Tower? And where are those large underwater rocks you have, because they look great! I have the water flora mod and I don't think they are included in that.. 48.gif

    Any help would be appreciated mate! I will definately be coming back to this stunning CJ, and good luck in the future! 19.gif

    Wow, Steve. The port looks amazing. Kobe tower really is a great addition. Also the lumber yard and the gaz station and tanks.

    My favorite part is the area around the light tower. Especially the stuff on the seaground caught my eye. The ruins, the flora, all these little things look fantastic.

    Really great work Steve.  I like the direction you are going with this area.  All the underwater work is stunning.  I just posted a little better explanation over in you help thread on how to get that base texture transparent.  Good luck with it my friend.

    Wow, your updates have all been very detailed. Know, I've seen this in a lot of CJs but I don't know where to look... how do you extend your beaches out like that to build seaports or w/e you want to build on them?
