Wow! 6.gif (look like this word is often seen here!), that sunken highway with roads on each side, good idea! and very well done, the slope is just so! That old school is great looking though the traffic noise must be murder!
I just love that little metal girder bridge!
That Castle is really something, and to put the BSC tower in it was un trait de g

Nice updates this week scorchin...  I've been absolutely SWAMPED with schoolwork so I hadn't been able to check in on ya!

I LOVE the castle and the stairs too.  I, for one, love the red trees and the staircases.

You're really talented with the lot editor... but from what I've seen, alot of the things you've made are simple 1x1 lots that you've used quite well in your cities.  ... THAT means you're a great city builder, and I still love the way you've presented it all!

What a great addition to the area Steve.  I was thinking much the same as John about the red bushes, but when the rest of the flora was added, the entire thing really came together for me.  Outstanding work my friend.

The castle looks great, especially like how you made the stairs, this is another beautiful update.

Hopefully I will be able to finish the BAT for next weekend.

Hey Steve.

It's been a while (I'm quite busy with college at the moment)...

Amazing updates my good friend. The community on the steep hill looks beautiful. I especially like the different levels and your use of buddybudd's different 'jeronij walls' (47.gif I think I've covered all the names now). The 'two-level' station looks great too. The rail overpass over the highway, though, is a little too steep in my opinion.

And the castle in your last update looks great, especially with the stairs leading up the hill. Wow, very nice details.

Take care buddy.

- Phil

Nik Nik: Hey buddy19.gif Thanks for all your great comments my friend. Yes those are buddybuds44.gif
    Phil: Thanks my good friend9.gif
simen: Thanks mate. I hope all is well with you? Again thanks for your support44.gif
6underground: Nice to see you again my friend44.gif Thanks once again for your support and great comments44.gif I found the Castle was too strong of a focal point for the last update, so I simply edited some bright red trees to compensate a little. I find now the focas is evenly on the stairs and the castle. I'm sorry they didn't work for you my friend14.gif. I'm glad you liked everything else though29.gif
sim1234: hey my friend. Thanks as always mate. Take care44.gif
wallasey Thanks for both your positive comments and constructive criticisms44.gif highway striplit? Do you mean I hold 'CTRL' and drag the highway at the same time to get the striplit effect? let me know my friend because I have been wanting to do that very thing9.gif btw: I am glad your getting into it now my friend. Come on in anytime44.gif
john: Thank you as always my good friend44.gif a stroke of genious? WOW.43.gif I'm embarrassed my friend (I'm too tired to turn red, but still embarrassed9.gif) I really appreciate it44.gif
jglei701: Good to see you again my good friend.44.gif Believe me. I understand the word SWAMPED. I haven't slept for 30 something hours. (see below)23.gif
Thanks for your kind words buddy29.gif
Dan: As always, your support is humbling my good friend. I do appreciate it43.gif29.gif
Kwakelaar: Hey buddy, that's great news about your BAT my friend. either PM me or let me know here when it's out (just in case I miss seeing it's release43.gif) and I'll be sure to feature it in one of my up and coming updates39.gif btw. Thanks for your comments44.gif
Wolf_pt: Hello and welcome my friend44.gif Thanks for the compliment29.gif I hope to see you again soon44.gif
Phil C: Hey buddy and don't worry about when you can update. You have been a great supporter of this CJ44.gif Anytime you can post will be an honor for me my friend44.gif The rail overpass is a NAM creation and your right perhaps it is a little too steep. I might change it in an up and comming update42.gif
    Thanks my friend.44.gif

I have been at a convention all weekend in which I had very little sleep. In fact I haven't slept for 30 plus hours23.gif So unfortunately no update again today43.gif I am also going to a charity benefit in support of troubled youths on Thursday evening. Christmas time (or nearing Christmas time) is always a radical time of year for me (as I'm sure it is for others too). Updates might be sporadic at times (such as now), but will nonetheless keep coming. Below is a teaser of an update I am working on. I want to refresh my entire region with cycledoggs updated terrain snow capped mod.44.gif I also want to start working on a Welcome to our City/Town sign in the BAT. If it turns out well I will probably upload it to the STEX. I'll keep you posted9.gif

Thanks everyone. I'll be working on my next update the next chance I get44.gif

    Hi,
    statuescreated5px.jpg
On this picture, I found the statues, which look great. (The whole scene is very nice, by teh way!) I've searched for this statue, but I found nothing. Can you help me?

Good ol' Liberty Islands! Someday, I'll repost my old CJ.

bokrif: Hello and welcome my friend. The statues are custom made2.gif The statue itself is from PEGS Great Lighthouse of Alexandria found on this page  Just scroll down a little and you'll find it44.gif To get the statue only to appear you'll have to use the Lot Editor found on simcity4.com  Thanks for stopping by.44.gif

I have a striplighting thread in the forum which has all you need to know! but all you do is create a road/highway and then zone along it whilst pressing the CTRL button. The result is a nice lit motorway!

    Hope this helps!

PS The new look region looks expetionally good! Is it hand crafted?

Hi - I like your CJ very much. I notice something else from your pictures that make me curious. You seem to grow many trees on your streets, with great density and variation. I will show some pictures from your CJ as an example of what I ask:

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//commercialdevelopmentcomplete2.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//coralresort21gn.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//statuescreated5px.jpg align=baseline>

I experiment with the Forrested Streets Mod by Ardecila, but I don't get the kind of density and variety you do in these pictures. Where I live, there are many many trees on the streets. This is much work for the city to take care but it is very pleasant and I would like to do the same in my cities. What is your secret?

Hey Steve. You're welcome. I love the region views btw. They continue the natural look as seen in the close up shots. And I like the clouds a lot. Looks beautiful.

Your 'other' work sounds interesting. Sure, 'Christmas time' is a busy but joyful time... (although I can't believe that there is christmas decoration everywhere already...).

    Take care my friend.

wallasey: Thank you my friend for the info. I already do my zones that way. For some reason it doesn't work sometimes. I'm not sure why46.gif btw Thanks for your compliments my friend44.gif
vicavulpe: Hello and welcome mate44.gif There are actually 3 or 4 files to get that affect. I hope I can remember them all34.gif download swamper77's 2 or 3 sidewalk Mods as well as his No palms mod. Make sure you read the directions. You can find these downloads on this page. Also download Porkissimo's Seasonal Trees Vol 2 Props found here . Unless you have another MOD that conflicts with these - that should do it.29.gif PM me if you have any more trouble48.gif
Phil: Hey buddy. Yes Christmas is a joyfull time of year, especially when we remember the tru meaning of it.2.gif Good to see you again my good friend.44.gif

    Region Update Finished
I have finally finished my updated region view. It took awhile but i think it was worth it. I had a few people ask me about showing my region view but it really wasn't worth it. Now I don't mind showing it off (now I need to develop it43.gif). But first I would like to show you what I am working on in the BAT29.gif It's going to be a Welcome to our City Sign It is still in Alpha stage and to be honest looks more like a Fisher Price Home Theatre System at the moment.18.gif. But that will (hopefully 43.gif) change. Here it is:

    welcomsignstart6uu.jpg

Still a long way to go. We'll see. And now the region view9.gif

You are getting a lot more advanced with the BAT, the welcome sign looks nice already. (But of course the textures will make it into something else than a home entertainment set)

The regionview is just fantastic, really beautiful landscape.

Thats a BIG region there! It is further complimented by Cycledoggs terrain mod!

The method does work! It is the best way to light you main arteries and to provide power without the pylons!

Your doing a great job here and that sign isn't looking bad either!

Hey Steve. I like the shapes you're using for the welcome sign. Now I'm curious to see how it'll turn out. It's great that you continue to learn the BAT, btw. If I only had the patience to do that...

About the region view: The undevelopped parts look as good as the developped parts. Thanks to show it to us.

    Take care my friend.

Ok the basics are done. It took me a long time to get the look I wanted. There are some custom lots as well. As the Seaport develops further you can bet they'll be more custom lots created. The custom lots is what takes alot of time (as I'm sure many of you know). I hope you like so far. Next update in progress29.gif
Take care for now my good friends. Have a great day...9.gif44.gif
