Ploppable Water

Recently I've been playing around with Jeronij's transparent ploppable water. I've gotten it to look pretty good, but I'm not sure if this is the best I can do. The lake itself looks pretty good, but around the shores it starts to look a little strange.

Now, it doesn't look too bad but I'm not sure I can't do better. The reason it looks that way is because I use progressively smaller water pieces along the shoreline, but if I don't do that I end up with gaps in my lake or a lumpy shoreline.

So, tell me... how do you place ploppable water?

JRJ Ploppable water, right?

It'll actually look funny when you rotate the camera because the props are elevated by about 4 meters. Best to use that kind of water in a pit that's at least five meters deep, which is what you appear to be doing.

It looks fine to me, in my opinion; Probably missing some extra foliage, at the most.

Plus, they're transparent, so there's an inherent trouble with overlaying multiple transparent objects over each other. In other words, you're doing it right.

The alternative is to use something opaque instead; If so, go with the Pegasus ploppable water or something similar.

I actually haven't used the JRJ water - but you could try plopping and various rocks (too many links to list) along the shoreline to break up the waters edge. I do that with the RFR transparent water and it looks pretty natural.

The water in the center is plop water with flora mixed into break up the edges.

OMG that's retarded! Dude, outstanding jobs with the ploppable water. I wish I had half of the skills both of you do. Keep it up!

Thanks, guys! Heblem's sand is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find Heblem's ploppable rocks, though. Are they on the STEX? I looked under his name and could only find his rock mods.

Just in case you didn't know...

Marsh made this list of MMPs which is probably the most extensive you will find. It lists all the MMPs Marsh uses, and if you know Marsh, you'll know that's a lot!

@Ragamuffin: There were several ploppable rocks by Heblem some time ago in the STEX, which seem to be deleted by the user. I remember now having sent him a PM but never got a response for it...

Anyways, the rocks I had in my mind when answering your question were these which are made by nbvc. Don't know why I have them installed with Heblem's stuff, hence the confusion. I personally find the smallest rock clusters quite useful when disguising the edge between the ploppable water and the land, you can see the results in this CJ update (not an ad :D) [link]. It looks a bit far, but you see the idea.

Ehhh It's TRANSPARENT ploppable water..... plop stuff in it. :)

TPW is very flexible with MMP's. It's only real drawback is being crappy at blending in with game water.

The real question is what do YOU want to do with it.

I had the same thing when I used Jeronij's transparent ploppable water, did quit because I didn't need it after all though. But looking at the picture it looks like the problem occurs at places where there is not that much slope, so you could change the land a bit or just cover it with trees.
