Well, mate, it rather sounds like spring is about to be sprung.  Living is OZ, you have a nice long summer of niceness to look forward to as we, in the frozen north, get ready for the arrival of hunting polar bears (j/k).  Today was coolish, and tonight it is going down to 9°C.  This is the first day in a long time that I have had all the fans in the house off.  I am considering getting up and closing the balcony door, because my knees are feeling a littled chilly.  Weather mavins say it is 19 but there thermometer must in in a sunny spot.

Sunny today, going to 25°C (77F).  We are in a high.  Very nice late August weather.  Next event, deciduous trees will show thier fall colours.  In this part of the country, it will be a beautiful display in the maple syrup patches.

Today was unusually cool again. High stayed around the same it seems like. I think this might be the end of the heat wave here.

    or not...

Great Caesar's ghost!  I just realized I am sitting by an open door to the balcony and it is 15°C outside.  No wonder my bare feet are feeling chilly.  Forcast for tonight is for a low of 13 tonight, but hot tomorrow, up to 28, whew.

Sunny and clear both days.  Current pressure 1019 mB, so we are still in a high.

I think we have definately been set up for something. Today was once again low 90s. However after a good bike ride, it was either me or it got hot all the sudden.

The heat wave is about to begin here in the Northeast U.S. From Sunday-Thursday it is supposed to be in the low-mid 90s. The weather pattern is indicating that this fall will be very warm, perhaps hot. We will have the typical New England fall look with the trees turning colors, but not because of the cooling down........instead the excessive dry spell will continue. (trees go dorment due to stress)

We also need to watch out for Earl, and possibly Fiona later on. These 2 tropical systems may just find their way towards the east coast.

Well, today was a beautiful day!! Sunny and temperature in the upper 70's. Perfect day. PERFECT. No better way to cool down than swimming after someone's jet ski after it slid off the trailer without them noticing....

Weather mavens say it is 25C here now, going to 30, then down to 20 overnight.  We are in a high, and it is sunny and clear.

temps around 20C (68F) at daytime and 10C (50F) at nighttime.

partially cloudy and rather humid. thats what forecast says for the next few days.

finally no rain. according to the news this august had the most rain for an august ever since weather recording started.

oh and tems where considerably low for an august aswell.

looks like a climate shift around here: the typical hot summer weather with clear skies and little rain and temps beyond 33C (92F) comes around may for a couple of weeks and the rest of the summer is rather wet and cold like these days, more or less the same for spring and fall just a little lower temps.

and winters are cold and very humid aswell, barely any snow but loads of rain at temps from 0C (32F) to 10C (50F) daytime and a small correction down at nighttime.

lots of frost in the morning to scrape off the cars, but barely icing conditions on the roads.

pretty much exactly NOT the weather I like and far away from the typical definition of seasons one could think of here (hot dry summers, cold snowy winters, rainy and windy falls and sunny but cold springs)

so much for the weather today and the typical weather the other days 2.gif

A nice toasty 96'F for today and tomorrow with elevated humidity. We're still watching Earl, hopefully it won't slam into us here in MA. We need the rain BADLY, but we could do without winds upwards of 100 mph.

Currently, 29°C, sunny and hot.  The high we have been experiencing is receding.  Temp is predicted to peak at 33 around 5 p.m., 22 overnight, 30 again tomorrow with showers and thundershowers for an extended period, with cloudy periods and rain to Friday.  What a welcome for September on the upper Great Lakes.  With the high temperatures and the rain, the humidity will be bad.  14 day trend is showing average temperatures around 22, lower next week end, with a wet couple of weeks.  Welcome to autumn in south western Ontario.

Current satellite image shows scattered showers to the norht east, and generally clear all the way to Lake Michigan.

For sailors around here, me for instance, this is rainy but good sailing weather promising some decent winds.  Have to be careful about thundershowers, and listen to the Coast Guard Radio for weather warnings (Channel 16 VHF).  The lakes are still warm enough that the frost-bite foul weather gear can stay in the locker.

Foo!  It is as predicted above.  It was raining a little while ago and there were lightening flashes but I guess the center of the storm was quite a ways away.  I didn't hear any thunder.  However, the humidity is now around 95%, my keyboard is actually moist, and it is hotter than the middle tail race of Dis, and it is nearly midnight.

Currently about 20C and 94% humidity, sunny periods, but mostly overcast.  My sister north of Winnipeg says we are in for a hot, damp time.  They just sent it our way.
