Any good road overlay mods?

I was researching the 12th and Midtown project here in Atlanta (http://www.12thandmidtown.com/) and I came up with this idea that I wanted to do.

I am looking for some sidewalk greenery, like an overlay for my roads that adds cool things to the sidewalks, like you see in modern city renovations now-a-days.

Does anyone know of anything like this, or if it even exists?

The link was just for reference. There's no pictures, it's stupid PDF and Flash stuff, but there isn't really anything that I'm talking about on that site.

I'm just looking for things to add over your sidewalks, to make the city look nicer.

If you're looking for sidewalk greenery, the SFBT Street Tree Mod is your best bet. The default streets are bare and ugly. This mod will spruce things up and make your city look a lot greener. You'll have to register at the SC4D LEX if you haven't already to download it. I think there are a few other street tree mods but that one is definitely my favorite. It'll give a whole new look to your cities.

I'm trying to spruce up this area! Going to be the new hotspot.

It was awful. I installed everything it needed installed yet I got the brown packages that show up on the side of the road and the game lagged really bad. I just uninstalled it. lol

Which means you don't have everything needed. Be sure you have the following:

BSC MEGA Prop Pack Cycledogg Vol. 1

    Cycledogg No8 and No9 TreeModels

I've been using this for years and never had an issue once installed correctly. You might consider Jeronij's Streetside Mod. It's very similar. There's more dependencies, but it's a little more customizable. It also has a version for SAM (if you use it). For what it's worth....

Yeah. Rule number one is to always get the dependencies. It might be a bit of a hassle but you'll have big problems without them.

I got the dependencies, I don't know, I probably did something wrong.

I don't remember if you've mentioned it, but you do have SimCity 4 Deluxe and have updated the game with the patches? If so, you might try only placing the Street Tree Mod and the three dependencies in your Plugins (remove everything else) and try it in a test city.

Yeah, I have deluxe and it's all updated. I'm not too worried about it. It wasn't exactly what I wanted. I was kind of looking for sidewalk plazas or news stands that just sit on the sidewalk, not that take up blocks. Things like that.
