    Perhaps i can help:

    1. Upload on Imageshack or similar sites.

    2. Copy the "Direct link" (like it's called on Imageschak) then paste it after you've clicked the photo sign (the tree on blue background under the smile icon).

Here's another small contribute to the community: The suburb of Midget Park, located in Mihajinsk, southeast of Lenin'sk.

Kruemel, that looks pretty nice! (Except for the abandonment of course). I don't think I'd want to try to navigate around without a GPS, though :D

A lot of the other hillsides in this thread just don't look very... hilly. Here's some of mine from a couple of older regions:

    Midtown of Albatross City.

    Albatross%20Midtown.png

    North shore of Cannoli City.

    Cannoli%20northside.png

The cliffs of Dabblingport that separate the industrial port from the downtown.

Condos in the hills west of downtown Bumsgrove.

    Hi everybody!

I also like to use hilly relief in my cities and towns. I adore curved and a litle bit caotic roads which repeat hill's shapes. This everithing can be found in my native town.

Two hilly peninsulas divided by the bay.

    city1_800.jpg

Residential and industrial zones on the steep slopes

    city2_800.jpg

    This area is still under construction. I adore high-rising houses nested on the steep slopes, may be because I live in such area. :}

@masochist: Well, that first pic is, um... as you said, "an older one," (:P) but those others are really great! Those suburbs are beautiful with the mix of houses and seasonal trees.

Nice stuff everyone! I am glad this thread has not been throw in the basket case! Here's my contribution.

This is Nova Perm', a strong industrial town born to supply near towns with jobs. Here's south and north parts of the city. The city is cut my the freeway/avenue driving towards west. The bridge and the near mountain made it impossible for the avenue to stay on a lower level, so the city had to develop on slopes literally.

    simcity4201207171850447.png

    simcity4201207171850494.png

These are Jertsky (lower) and Gagarin (upper), both suburbs evolved after Nova Perm' and are integrant part of it.

that was my intent but i made a mistake when building that section of the city. My intent was to flow with the land but instead I accidentally cut in to the mountain some. Akiba City's main intent was to look like a smaller Hong kong, the only reason I didnt expand it into the hills was because it was too steep (also due to the slope mod as well) and ruin the entire look of the Island.

Well... you can take down the whole hill of some meters or... i don't know. Perhaps you made too high hills or the slope is just too difficuilt to cross.

The morning fog rolls in from the bay to the hills, as grumpy commuters drive to their jobs, and possibly grabbing their coffee fix on the way.

EDIT: 3 reputation likes? Aw shucks you guys  :P
It's also one of my first photoedits...

Where do you get the add on for those smooth city retaining walls? I could do with that.

    /throws links at you/

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1504 - These are the walls themselves.

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1519 - This is an addon for the walls.

    - And here is the dependency. Ignore what it says about only being able to use one type of wall; install all the files to your plugin folder and the first link I provided will allow you to use all.

And yes, you certainly could do with these. Retaining walls on a city (especially if you aren't doing rural hillsides) are a must, plus they look great! Happy city-building.
