Who is your favorite BATter?

I did search and there already was a topic on this, but it died early last year and I didn't want to revive it.


Who is your favorite BATter, and give a reason why you like his/her work.

I like PEG's stuff the best, mostly because there is a great variety of stuff that peg has released, and the BATs that peg as made have really helped me in some of the storylines in my CJ, as well as helping make the cities more realistic.

But...other than that, I prefer the works by Oneil_1, Superstar(his latest PoMos), and some of the latest by Eburress. I'm a really big fan of PoMo(Postmodern) stuff, as you can probably tell by now.

id also say all the creators of NAM.....WOW what a job...do i even need to explain that.  They should work for EA.  NAM is the best download i have gotten out of all these years

Hmmmm...I'm a big fan of anything by PDA or jtportland in particular. It's really useful and nice in mid to large cities. But I'll download pretty much anything...

My favorites are the NDEX team, especially Equinox, Dusktrooper, and O'Neil. And then I have my second favorite, Simgoober!! Each person really adds to the site with their creations, amazing everyone! Awesome work you guys!

DT and Oniel both rock when it comes to BAT so definitely those two! Both work with a really high amount of detail and realism and that is a great reason why to love their work

I enjoy anyone who can make a BAT that looks realistic and is a big help in the game.Examples are:

There are several good and great Lot/BAT creators with many already identified here.  I'm not sure the best really needs to be singled out in this exclusive club, but deserving of mention here are Nexis' mrbisonm, CSX's Vlakhaas and Newman's Inc. citynut as fine contributors past and present.

The whole NDEX squad (DT, SS, O'neil) for the best landmark skyscrapers

My favourite BATter is Gleni. I don't know why but i just love his style and he makes a lot of midrises which i really use a lot.

Man that is a tough question, each batter has his/her own style and what I look for depends on what I building. Peg definitely up there, love naval lots, simgoober with his stores/resturants, BarbyW and PMiller with the farm thing, many others too that release great BATs for us all, BSC, NDEX, JBM, IllTonkso, and upcoming hope to see soon BATs by SimWings and others are awesome, how can one pick just one I don't know. I have every BAT I can find by those I mentioned, there is the BAt who makes all those resturants, name slips my mind, I love those, friendlys, chic fil a, arbys, LJS/Pizzahut express and that list goes on. guess you get he idea.

Impossible to say who the best is. There are a fair number of accomplished BATters that release to the STEX, and some others that are quite up and coming (e.g. improving rapidly with nice style). Each seems to have carved out a niche, more or less, relative to form and function. So, anyway, here's my list (it's not complete for sure. I'll edit if I remember someone I missed.

Quality, Quantity, and Consistency
Simgoober (retail commercial and residential stuff is the best. extremely helpful ST member)
Pegasus (creativity. waterfront stuff is the best)
Gascooker (residential stuff is great)

Up and Coming
Zumi
Ill Tonkso

Would like to see production resume
Kevdan25 (fast food franchises)
Jtportland (commercial offices)
Cobb (residential apartments)
Oneil_1 (commercial offices)

They all surely have something to offer me, but I like Pegusus' stuff best. It is mostly realism and ambience, type lots and cuases just the right effects in the game. Not too much effect on jobs, pop, garbage etc. nice textures as well and I like to notice these, I hope anyways.

Secondly: comes SimGoober. Genius with commercial suburbia and Hotels, which are definitely my favorite commercial buildings. Coloful in just the right places.

 

Third: This is a tie between two farmers BarbyW and Pmiller. The most realistic and fun farming comes from BarbyW. Pmiller not only makes great farms, but has some imaginative and crisp designs, with her SimMars BATS. She is destined as one of the best, for making believable details.

Id say Gascooker, Simgobber, Marrast, Vanderaap, Frogface. I belive i have most of their BAT's, though there are very many tallented BATers that havnt released more than a few Bats, and they too are great. I think i like a bit to many just to favour a few, but the aforementioned ones are among the best i belive.

Oh... and then we have the entire SimWings team, ^^ love our bats
