Hello all,

I'm back with a new city (Sorry for all Jandell followers), as my old city corrupted, i spent a week or so trying to bring it back, but i forgot to back it up.

Anyway, I'm starting a more realistic city, building it from a struggling city with little public transport to a sprawling metropolis with major public transport.

With 200,000 residents, 2 Rail lines (Airport and Moorwich north), limited buses (Airport, CBD and Inner suburbs) and only one main highway (Western Link) which only currently serves as the major link between the CBD and the Airport.

As the city has a steady growth in the outer suburbs along the bay, these suburbs continue to put strain on the local roads, causing congestion in the suburbs and the city.

The airport Currently has 4-6 Jetway's, With room to expand. (There's currently one Flight per week to Jandell)

Region.jpg

In Airport North, (Part of Fehnel Island) there is the suburbs and a recently built Railway Station for residents in the local area to get to the airport and commercial district.

airportnorthrailstation.jpg

In the inner suburbs, when the city started sprawling (this was taken around 2 weeks ago) the rail bridge between the suburbs and the CBD was complete, and the residents could now get into the city by train.

railbridge.jpg

A more recent view of it at night show's how quickly the city began to grow.

suburbanliving.jpg

And the suburbs on Fehnel Island (Inner City Suburbs) began to grow rapidly as the bridge between the two suburban areas was complete and the major bridge from Fehnel Island was now accessible.

Enjoy your stay at Moorwich :)

Send in your recommendations of what public transport should be considered for the city and its suburbs please? :)

@Skyline_GR; I put the mod up in the Reserved Post. But here's a link in case you missed it Marrast Embankment Set

    @Halenbyname, Pielover94, Schulmanator; Thank you :)

Welcome back to Moorwich, The airport had an extra taxiway installed to make way for future expansion, the highway has been extended to connect up with the new M3 (Northern Link)

I will be showcasing the airport today.

Heading to the airport, you have many ways of getting there.

Rail (With the newly completed Station Rd)

    fehnelislandrail.jpg

Highway & Bus (Subway station is served by rail)

    airportdriveentrance.jpg

The road infront of the airport is "Airport Drive" and improvements are currently under planning to make a bypass around the airport front to make traffic move more freely.

With the improvements to Moorwich Airport, comes more sprawl and highway expansions.

And here's a teaser for next time.

Thanks for reading, and leave your feedback please :)

    @Vincitore, Ccecill, Skyline_GR, Don Santiago1, Skyscraper241; Thank you very much :)

    Welcome back.

Moorwich has grown a lot since last time, with new additions to the public transport, including removal of 2 train stations in the city, addition of 137 Tram stops, 236 Bus Stops & 1 Underground Rail station for the north eastern suburbs.

The trams have become a very popular way of getting around Moorwich, with an average of 70% usage on tram stops.

The most used tram line is The Yellow Line which connects Moorwich West to Moorwich City

    jandellnorthtrams.jpg

And the second most used (only by a .7% patronage difference) being the Red Line (To the Airport)

    moorwichsouthairportbus.jpg

The same route for the tram is a popular bus route, as many residents in the area will catch a bus from their home to the tram stop.

But with the addition of trams, the congestion problem is still awaiting to be handled, and one way to alleviate congestion from the bridges was to extend the shortest bridge in Moorwich, Sur Bridge.

Sur Blvd is a connection between Moorwich West and The industrial center (Which is now residential zoning and the industrial center has moved south)

    moorwichnorthsurbridgee.jpg

There have been many objections, Many saying extending it will destroy the park, but the plan is to stop the Boulevard at the park.

Work begins the following month, buildings were demolished, Minimal roadwork was required, now the only thing required is to lay down the asphalt rebuild the area.

    moorwichnorthsurbridgee.jpg

Many residents are more then pleased with the result, it adds an extra 15 buses per hour to the immediate vicinity, takes out 20 minutes of travel time, alleviates congestion & adds 1,500 new jobs.

    moorwichnorthsurbridgee.jpg

Moorwich is growing much faster than it'd first been predicted, with around 3,000 houses being built per week. Moorwich has already hit a population of 300,000 and has no sights of stopping.

    moorwichdeindustrulazat.jpg

You can see the extent of the sprawl in these regional views.

    moorwichregional.jpg

and traffic view (Default NAM styles, Highways are black, trams are blue, rail is red, Parks are Green etc)

    moorwichregionaltraffic.jpg

    Thanks again for reading! :)

@Pielover94, Thank you! we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but Happy Thanks giving :)

@Danny091283; First sentence on this post has the information about that embankment set.

@Jack3oh3; Thank you. it did, but it was worth every minute :3

@bwong; Thanks. You'll get to see the airport closer today, but transport is the next update ;) (Got something special being implemented)

As moorwich has grown, the demand for more air traffic has grown too, The expansion of Moorwich Airport saw an addition of hangars & 3 Helipads.

    moorwichairportoverview.jpg

With the entrance of Moorwich Airport still serviced by Airport Drive, There have been plans to build an airport north of moorwich to allow a better service for drop off's and pickups.

    moorwichairportfront.jpg

Back to the upgrade, the newly built Apron zone services the airport with hangars, Helipads, freight Zones & a Re-Fueling station.

    moorwichairportstorage.jpg

That's the update for today, Here's a Landscape of Moorwich waterfront & a preview of the new Pedestrian & Tram Mall.

Sorry for the long delay, I've been busy with a few things lately.

Anyway, a few new suburbs have sprawled further out east & south, With a new airport under planning, with proposals being readied.

    Riversbend (Population: 32,750)

    riversbendcommercialdis.jpg

The Commercial district of Riversbend sprawls east to the edge of the Riversbend city limits. (Riversbend Boulevard / Southern Boulevard)

    riversbendeasthighwaylo.jpg

Along with sprawl, comes Infrastructure, a new highway that links Moorwich east with the suburbs south of Riversbend.

    moorwichnorthlinkairpor.jpg

The new highway was linked to connect to Moorwich central via Highway or via an indirect route (via Avenue)

Sorry for the lack of update, but that's all i have now, Enjoy the region views

    :)
