My biggest city on a single large tile had 1,02 million inhabitants, but it was all repetitive maxis skyscrapers in a grid so I obliterated it and now the place has about 400,000.

One of my biggest cities had 5 million people on a large tile. All the roads were avenues and everything was funded to the max. It was a completely flat tile though :P

The region it was in it had about 40million, it was a default region with large, medium and small tiles. It was huge, but my PC crashed and i lost it. :/

City of Del Prago with 380,000 in a medium tiled area. Growth is slow but steady... I have problems with my largest buildings turning that faded brown color, but they still have jobs.

Lewisport

R - 261,797

C - 133,814

I - 9,568

Treasury 21,875,602 Starting at 500,000 Hard Mode (Moolah'd). Somewhere in there I took back the 500,000.

Very mature city in a region New York City (downloaded) with 1,033,935 Sims

Currently has some severe traffic problems that I am working on.

Overall shot:

Lewisport-Apr.%2023,%201291338733805.jpg

Not completely up to date. There is now a subway/EL bridge across the harbour to the island beside the eastern port installation which took a great load off the other bridge. Still have more to do.

This is my largest current city. I no longer go for 1,000,000+ Sims. Have done so in the past, but found that no longer satisfying.

It has its problems. I spent most of yesterday fixing up the education system by adding museums and other post-educational things, then I started working on the CBD towards the eastern border. The attached farms are having a bad case of commuter loop, and I am working on fixing that up, as well. I have a couple of more big ports in that region, and one of them, Affenburg, is beginning to give me a hard time. Too many apes, I think.

Railton is my largest city with a population of around 825,000. It had a lot of railways, hence the unimaginative name.

The city of (cough) Fluttershy (cough) have a pop. of 208,000 and a commercial population of 216,000 on a large tile.

Named after The Fluttershy Initiative, which promotes a cleaner environment, preservation of Mount Optimus, and increase in self-defense, especially in its coastal areas.

...and yes, that is named after the FiM pegasus.

In other news, I never really like to try breaking into the millions - who likes seeing skyscrapers in, like, everywhere?

hi fren i am here..... :)http://www.simtropol..._1#entry1184874

havn't replay this city quite a while since i post the 10Millions inhabitants, i email Guiness orld Record about this they they did replied

I wager that the only way a world record for city density in SimCity 4 would be considered is if the city were made using vanilla.

Also, I made a city with 12 million sims. :P

750k res. / 480k com. / 317k ind.

My city Montagnon (on the San Francisco region), name was given since the large map in the right upper corner is quite filled with hills and a big mountain which in the end proved a pain to build a city with skyscrapers on.

Map is about 1/4th filled with skyscrapers and a few highway tunnels that go right under the city itself.

On the next large map I will only use avenues for obvious reasons, and flat terrain!

Back when i was 10 i had a city called "Metropolis" and it had a population of about 800,000 people. It was just a bunch of skyscrapers so... not that good IMO. But my biggest realistic city would have around 500,000 people on one tile and about 1,000,000 on like 3 tiles.

Welcome to Simtropolis

Interesting first post.  Hope you enjoy your membership.

I am still trying to get my biggest city up to 1,000,000 Sims.  It is a tough thing to do when it started out as a collection of farms.

Largest City: 1.24 Million

Region: 4.23 Million

Had the city population up to 1.98 Million but didn't like how unrealistic it looked with so many skyscrapers so I reduced some of parts of the city to medium density zones.

My largest on a 2x2 tile has 635k people

My largest on a 1x1 tile has 170k people

The 2x2 and 1x1 ones are in the same region; the 4x4 is in another
