  1. Is there anyway to avoid this in the future then? My large city's transit network is being clogged from the traffic of the other border city going into the small city. I have also noticed that there is a lot more traffic going into the smaller city than there are jobs.
  2. Go Braves!!!

  3. Thanks for your responses. His Divine Hand: You are somewhat right. In the smaller city there is an island which is only connected by a ferry. I have since built a bridge but the numbers are still incorrect. Should I just demolish those jobs on the island to rectify this problem? A nonny moose. The cities are now 30 years apart. They were around 75 years apart before. I will try to sync the times to get them closer. I have other cities that are like 125 years apart also, so it will take some time. Thanks fly
  4. Hi, I have a border between two cities that has a large difference in transit numbers when I look at each city. One city has a population of 180,000 while the other is newer with a population of about 20,000. They are connected by a highway and rail. On the large city side, it shows 13,000 bus and like 10,000 cars travelling on the highway to/from the small city. From the small city side, it shows more reasonable numbers of 4,000 cars and 1,500 busses travelling to/from the large city. On rail, it shows 13,000 from the large city side and less then 100 from the small city side. I usually have differing numbers between cities but never this large. I don't think this is an eternal commuter problem since there really is no loop infrastructure wise. Please tell me if there is a way to correct this. Thanks, fly
  5. Hi, When I looked at the numbers for my stations, it seems the numbers are higher than when I query the stretch of track leading into the station. I have noticed this on my heavy rail, monorail, and glr stations. I have also noticed something that may cause this problem. It seems that sims are getting on and getting off at the same station. They are using the station but not really using it to get on a train. Is there a fix to this problem? I am currently using a downloaded copy of the game and have NAM 32 installed. Thanks, fly
  6. GLR and subway trains

Thanks everyone for their replies. I guess there is no easy way for this.
  7. Hi, sorry for resurrecting this topic A Nonny Moose, I think it is time for me to get a digital version since my game is crashing too often. Is there anything special or extra I have to do to keep my mods and gameplay the same when I download from Amazon? Also how do I keep the download installer that you mentioned in your first reply? Do I also have to apply the patches again even if I applied them to the CD? Thanks, Fly
  8. Hello, I tend to build cities that have GLR systems that serve a section of the city as well as elevated rail/subways that serve the whole city. I was wondering if there is a way to separate the types of trains used on GLR and subways/elevated rail. For the GLR, I want some sort of modern streetcar or tram. For the el. rail/subway, I want to use a heavy rail type train such as those used in the NYC subway. My question is basically about the possibility of having two distinct trains, one for GLR and one for subways/el. rail. Thanks
  9. Seattle vs. Denver... What's Your Pick?

Congrats to the Seahawks. This win makes Atlanta the worst sports city now. Hopefully my Falcons can learn from the Seahawks. The game was so boring however. Just watched for the commercials in the second half.
  10. Thanks for your help. I was able to download the ep1 patch but not the second one. fly
  11. Eternal commute .

Can I prevent eternal commuters by building cities that have less then two connections and not building cities that have transport networks that can loop around through several cities? Thanks, fly
  12. Whoa, I did not know I was missing so much. Will the custom content I am using now be effected by these patches? Also, does the main patch go into the regular plugins folder then? Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions, fly
  13. Thanks for your replies. A Nonny Moose: Could you explain what the EP1 patch is? I'm not familiar with it. Richie99: I'm not sure whether mine is digital or not. I got it with the Sim City Box. Thanks, fly
  14. Hi, I am having trouble starting sc4 from my disc 2. Each time I want to play, I have to uninstall the game and then reinstall it. The game does start automatically after disc 2 is installed. However, I do not want to keep having to uninstall it and reinstall it. When I install the disc 2, it does not save as a shortcut on my desktop. I am also not able to start the game from disc 2 when I open "my compute"r. I am using a laptop with windows 8.1. I had SimCity 4 working fine before on this same laptop when it was 8.0, before I had to refresh the laptop and lost the game. Thanks, fly
  15. The Seahawks are the team to beat now. The other strong teams like the Bronocs, 'aints, 49ers, and the Patriots have had bad losses. My team sucks so much this year. We have to stop winning games to get the #1 pick.
