Welcome to Jandell,

Jandell is a city, with nearly 1,000,000 residents living in jandell city & Suburbs.

Residents in jandell rely on 3 different means of transport;

1. (The most used transport) Car, there is a main highway in and out of the city center, with a set of Metropolitan ring roads under construction (Inner west, Inner East, Outer metropolitan)

2. Rail, there is 2 different stations in Jandell's city center, West and East, each connect via subway, but due to large demand, there will be a rework for a singular larger station. (and will serve both the north and south lines)

3. Metro/Subway, Jandell has a growing demand for public transport, With the suburbs growing out and the city growing up, there needs to be a faster way for citizens from the outer suburbs to reach the city.

The city is currently working on building an international airport, that would be served by highway, Rail, metro & bus.

The suburbs dominate the land surrounding the bay,

And here's a little preview of the highway system that connects the city with the suburbs.

Terraforming looks great, so does the city. I agree with Bwong though, that space could be used for more skyscrapers :)

no offense intended, but that's a whole lot of urban sprawl and pasting of zones and buildings -from what I can see- for an infinite amount of space.

Great looking overview...though the wide gaps of freeway cutting through are a little excessive and a little too straight for my realism liking ;) but they do illustrate that dividing neighborhoods that freeways often do.

    @NathanTheMayor; I have to thank drunkapple for this great map.

    @Emperordaniel; Again, thank drunkapple. ^^

    @Vivapanda; Thank you. :)

    @Bwong; I've left room for expansion that's planned soon, adding 2 more lanes.

    @Mamaluigi945; Thank you :3

    @Testuser1234; Thanks, And your wish has been granted.

    @MelbourneDesigns; I did not create this map (although, i wish i did) DrunkApple did. You can find it here; Tarragona, Spain.

    @Gc6164; Thanks :)

    @Paulobegonci; Thanks, that's what i was aiming for :)

    @Dmonsta19; Thanks. But the space is reserved for highway upgrades :)

    @Bwong; no offence taken, i rather take the way of sprawl, it's more realistic (in my personal point of view)

    @Packersfan; Thank you, i agree that it's too straight, but i'm not that great with highway building.

    @Emajodior27; Thank you :)

    @LadyBug2; Thank you :3

    Now, I've been away for the week, but that hasn't stopped me from doing a few bit and pieces every now and then while i could, and the city has sprawled abit, with the ringroad near full completion (Western side is complete)

    In Jandell west, you'll find many ways to get into the city, The most popular being car, then proceeding to Heavy Rail then to metro.

    jandellwesttransitcentr.jpg

    And further into the suburban part of Jandell West, you can find many stations like this next to houses and roads.

    jandellwestmetrostation.jpg

    Then catching the metro into the Commercial District, you will need to catch the Jandell West Commerce Train, Which runs from Jandell west Station (Station in first image) then travels around the suburbs then heads to the northern area of Jandell West to serve the commercial district.

    jandellwestcommerce.jpg

    Then to get from the commercial district, you must travel back onto the main metro loop, Get off on Jandell Hwy / Industrial North, and Catch the Bus into the Industrial Centre (Soon to be serviced by metro)

    jandellwestindustrialce.jpg

    If you live in the city, then getting back to Jandell Central is easy, Just catching a Jandell City Bus or metro train is one of the many options available.

    Jandell had a major rail upgrade between the last update, Making the Eastern and Western Terminals into one singular Jandell Central station.

    BEFORE UPGRADE:

    citymain.jpg

    AFTER:

    jandellcity.jpg

    The city of Jandell is slowly building more Sports arena's, with the first one being by the bay and conviently located by the highway.

    sportsdistrictbeach.jpg

    With many business seeking land in Jandell City, many of the small buildings that host many of the important business' that help jandell run are slowly being bought out.

    citycentre.jpg

    And now we head to the northern suburbs.

    jandellnorthmajorstatio.jpg

    Serviced by 2 Train lines, the Northern line and Airport line. (Airport line was still under construction when this was taken)

    While heading along the airport rail line, you will pass through the new Eastern Industrial center to serve Jandell's Eastern Suburbs.

    industrialcommercestati.jpg

    Anyway, i hope you enjoyed the update :)

    Here's the region so far.

    Amazing update! I believe I've never seen your City Journal before but this has such a distinct look and design to it. Your downtown area is also quite nicely proportioned.

    Anyway, hope to see more in the future. I promise I'll be back! 40.gif

    I like the zoomed in photos, the more detailed ones, but the moment you zoom out, it looks really repetitive, but i suppose that's out of your control....

    I really like your City design, and the Region view looks awesome!

    You need to add some parks or trees along that highway corridor and it'll look a lot less sore thumb like.

    I'm also interested to know if you could provide a link to that rail station you've used in first picture of your last update.

    Can't wait to see what you do next.

    @Element; Thank you :) Although, i spread out the Commercial districts to equalize the suburban spread.

    @Simtalay; Thanks! :D

    @Bwong; If you're talking about the city itself, i'm still in the middle of downloading more mid-rise buildings ;) so they won't stay there.

    @Keder; Thanks :)

    @MamaLuigi945; Thanks, theres more sprawl on the western suburbs ;)

    @Dchotzen-Hartzell19; That's what i went for :3

    @Ccecill; Thanks :)

    @Jack3oh3; Thank you, expect more custom content soon ;D

    @Vivapanda; Thank you :)

    @Fox; Thanks, I've been doing that on areas i can currently, I'll be doing more to the city highway & reducing the eastern highway from airport onwards (excessively oversized etc) But it will all be finished soon :)

    As for the station, i'm not sure which version i downloaded, but i'll link both. West Wing (Shinjuki Rail Station) East Wing (Shinjuki Rail Station)

    I've been abit busy with a few things lately, But i've also been busy with some Transport in the Greater Jandell Area, incluing some new highway.

    In Jandell's Metropolitan Ringroad, there was an upgrade to connect Jandell West via a major intersection, most buses use this intersection to go directly to the airport from jandell west and bypass suburbs.

    metropolitanringroadwes.jpg

    (Jandell west is South of the intersection)

    Then if we head east to toward The Main highway (M1) you will see the newly built interchange. (May be an eyesore to some)

    metropolitanringroadair.jpg

    (Jandell City Centre is South)

    Now if we head back west to toward the Bay region, there was a decision to extend the metropolitan ringroad into the Highlands Freeway to service the Mountains and Western Bay regions by highway.

    westernfreewaysouthwest.jpg

    And as the highway/freeway upgrades were made, there was major upgrades to needed infrastructure in jandell's new suburbs and commerce districts. (Where skyscrapers and hi-rises are seen outside of Jandell City centre, they are Special commerce areas, which have great influence on how jandell grows as a city.

    The newly established line consisting of 2 stations currently and then services the Mountain ranges (Only on special routes) also connects with jandell west then connecting to Jandell City, where all trains terminate or change over.

    northwestrail.jpg

    As that was the only rail upgrade in jandell, Here's something new for Jandell to expand both rail and bus networks.

    jandelltram.jpg

    Yes, a tram. Currently consisting 25km of tracks, (Much has changed since the picture above)

    and connects with the subway lines to allow residential areas of jandell to travel to their destinations much more easily.

    There is also a station outside of the "Jandell Metro Transport Authority" which runs Trams, Buses, Subway & Rail in the city, and is government owned.

    jandelltramjmta.jpg

    As jandell is also in need of more tourism, we installed a historic tram stop that has trams go through every 5 minutes.

    historictram.jpg

    And then on the eastern district of Jandell, there was a tram line installed to service the area with more options of transport.

    jandelltram2.jpg

    Enjoy, and there will be more highway upgrades on the M1.

    Another great update, love the creative designs of the highways, especially that first picture.

    Keep up the great work.

    I like your sunken rail network in the suburbs. Nice job with that. I also noticed that you have multiple station props for some RTMT GLR-avenue stations appearing on top of each other (last picture). I used to get this; there was an update for RTMT released that fixed it. You might want to check that out.
