I flew Auckland to Melbourne with Emirates and it was pretty good. Haven't flown Singapore though.

Trams.  I rode on in Toronto once, it seemed nice enough, I guess.  I hate buses, though.  I try to let them go ahead of me here, though, because they have a VERY difficult job and they are very courteous towards other drivers, at least the local route drivers are.  The big tour bus lines, screw those guys.

 

1000mi+ road trip, drive your own car or rent one? (cost no option, but be reasonable)

I'll probably ask for a driver so I think I would rent.. God knows what will happen to my car in that 1000mi+ trip!

Pardon me for saying this but "Jesus! Unbelievable." I go to Krispy Kreme almost every other day and Dunkin Donuts is very common in the Philippines even bus terminals have them.
