JT - The building looks great. I love the catilevered (overhung) section. It makes for an interesting building. From an engineering standpoint (I'm a civil engineer) the square support wouldn't really help much and I think it would be possible to create a building (in real life) without it, but it does add for a nice architectural effect. People in the building might feel safer as well which is good. You don't want the guy with the office out on the edge freaking out all day. Bad for productivity 19.gif. Anyway, the building looks great. Can't wait for it to hit the STEX.

I'm going to cry soon :'(
This building is just so beautiful, I hope EVERYONE will download it.
Keep up the great work just won't do it this time.
I think jtportland deserves his own special award for being the BAT'er who contributes the most beautiful buildings if not in Simtrop, then by Maxis.
Great work! Great work!

thanks rubberduck! that's ok if you only downloaded it once! haha

thanks crazy, glad ya downloaded it ;)

BananaRepublic, thank you very much! i believe that there are many batters in ST that deserve an award like that! maybe even more so that me haha, i've just been releasing portland buildings like crazy this last few weeks...haha, and portland does have a lot of very beautiful buildings. although the summit is more of a made up building than a real life building. well anyways, thanks again for the very nice comment! :D

Very cool, and also a very tall building. I did a crown similar to that style on a simple mid-rise structure I made; I'm making reference to the vertical white spires around the perimiter that give the building's crown a comb-like look. It looks nice and profesional.

hogmeister, portland does have a gread variety of buildings, and i love to make all different kinds of buildings! making the same style would get pretty boring for me fast haha.

I got the Summit it's a very nice building.  Actually I have almost every PDA building except the AMD Building in Chicago...still debating on that one..so my question is since Diamond is away are you going to release any more $$ residences.  I got the Kenzie Building and the Concord B but I would like more $$ buildings in the game the Kenzie grows like crazy..lol

thanks Mickele Macon, the plop version of the AMA building is fine, it's just that the growable is a little buggy. also, right now im doing the portland project, and we've made a few $$ res building from that, like KOIN tower... and portland plaza should be out in not too long (sparky is making that one, i might finish it for him though)

Everyone: I am pleased to announce that I am now the third dues-paying PDA Associate, the A in PDA. Basically, I'm the PDA steward now that JT is doing Portland and Geoff is away.

I am grateful for my membership in PDA, and I won't disappoint.

Since many PDA BATs are Chicago or Chicago-inspired, I'll continue the tradition. But I'm not just going to tell you about it. My first PDA release is already done.
