    Not trying to steal Jes's thunder (1ITC is a true masterpiece), but, here's one that I just finished exporting.  Since I made such a mess of packaging the AMA Building... this one will hit the stex as soon as Jes can package it.  Enjoy the sneak peek.

    That is cool! I was wondering how it would look in a slightly different color- you know, maybe a gunmetal bluish steel.....

    Hey thats a very cool looking building Geoff. Its one of the few brown buildings that look really nice, great job. Also Jt I am so happy to hear that the 1ITC is almost released its one of my favorite buildings on ST. Also I was wondering you were talking about a 2ICT how many buildings are you going to make in this complex?

    I'm sure it would look fine in other colors dusk... but, since that bastard took two days to export (thanks to the rediculous mullion system and huge amounts of balcony-railings) I don't think I'll be tinkering with the materials any time soon :)
     
    I'm ready to move on anyway.

    Looks great, both buildings that is.
     
    Jes, maybe you could do a Chinese trick and increase the height of the antenna to make it bigger than the Sears Tower....hehe.

    I love PDA, I Love PDA, These buildings rock. like dusk said, could you realese the 3d file. I think this building would look great with a black glass tex and scratched aluminum surface. ( Not to be realesed of course)

    It means you don't have to test your buildings anymore Geoff...  Just post something that looks nice 3.gif  And for some reason that building grows like crazy! 6.gif  I had two of them next to each other - as shown - and I had 5 growing already. I have removed the growable version now from my plug-in folder, since it annoys me. I'll stick with plopping it.

    Well, I talked to Equinox about it on the chat... He made it sound like it is simple. If someone does not apply here to fix it, I think you can send RalphaelNinja a PM for help. He knows it for sure.
     
    btw... I found out why it grows like crazy. You have to correct me if I am wrong, but the plopped version is 3x5... right?  In the game it grows on a 2x4 -  It sticks out on two sides... There aren't much buildings in the game that grow on a 2x4 lot. That is why you see those a lot. It grows like Sim assurances, or Kenner diners... By the way... the parking garage is still there if you destroy the building. To me relieve I could remove the garage by de-zoning. 2.gif
     
    Someone here should be able to fix it - just that someone has to be friendly and willing.

    I'd be willing to fix it for you guys. It WAS on my list, so I'd like to contribute at least . .

    I'm investigating now. I'll probably end up re-doing the SC4Desc files and Lot files, as well as tinkering with the footprint size.

    Great ardecila if you have time I'm sure alot of people here would appreciate it. Otherwise I could look at it over the weekend. I don't mind doing it as a favour to PDA. But I'd have to change the lot probably, as I'm not to sure about the look of it. But....I might look at it anyway.

    Okay, your first problem. You used the Blank Lot Set CO$$$ to create your ploppable. These are known to cause problems. I'm gonna try to convert the actual building into a ploppable, but I need to know how many jobs you want first.

    Also, just for future reference, save the ploppable lots with PLOP in the name, and the growable ones with GROW in the name. This will make it easier to distinguish, in case these problems come up in the future.

    As for the parking garage thing: I can't really reason it out. I'm guessing it has something to do with an error in the building file. I might need to do some more research on these indestructible props before I can diagnose.

    The lot it is on is too small. I just went and deleted my growable version. I don't really like things popping up like that.

    mine goes over the railroads it looks sweet!!! but i was goin to post a screenshot of it but i demolished the wren tower that was blocking the view of the railroad and then the ama builng went poof!! and it became a plaza its weird but damn it i lost the building it looked so tight
