In order to throw a good party and have people show up, you need to have the right kind of reputation and the right kind of personality. People need to expect that they'll have a good time at your party, and not only that but a better time than they might have elsewhere. Methinks you might not be the right person to throw parties. Best stick to going to ones other people throw.

I don't think I've had anything that weird, but I have had ice cream with peanut butter and oatmeal and cookies, and once I cooked a mixture of noodles, eggs, hot dogs and sour cream and onion dip.

Reece's Peanut Butter Cups are the be all end all so far as snacks are concerned for me. The biggest problem with them is that you cannot find them at all in Japan. You can find those gross little Cadbury ones, but those are disgusting.

It must have been a pretty weird aircraft then, since it looked substantially larger than the moon and was perfectly circular.

Also, one of the larger construction sites nearby has caught fire; I can see it quite clearly from here, flames, smoke, and all - even though it's about a kilometer away (possibly because of the fact that we live near the top of a hill).

Just dropping in, and procrastinating doing homework...

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a great series. I wish I had the time (and the resources, like Netflix) to watch all the episodes. I also wish I had the time to watch The Legend of Korra. I nearly peed myself with excitement (my cousins are witnesses of this) when I saw it for the first time on T.V.

I hate chocolate. Sue me.

@Meg: No, but there isn't any reason why we should care that Prince Harry is x or Queen Lizzy is y or Diana is z, either. I don't understand America's obsession with the British royalty, who have become celebrities. Honestly, I don't understand America's obsession with any celebrities. All the tabloid news garbage about "who's hot in Hollywood" or "who's having a baby" is worthless to me.

In other news, my first year of high school is not that much different than my last year of junior high, except that the school is bigger, there are more students, and there is more homework. Junior high on a larger scale.

Information from Wikipedia about the Kavala aqueduct, popularly known as the Kamares

While the aqueduct is "probably of Roman origin", the present structure dates to the 16th century. A Byzantine barrier wall of the early 14th century, built as part of the fortifications on the Kavala acropolis, probably also functioned as an aqueduct. This would have made it one of the few examples of Byzantine aqueducts, since Byzantine cities more typically used wells and cisterns rather than either maintaining existing Roman aqueducts or building new ones. The barrier wall was replaced with the present arched aqueduct during Suleiman the Magnificent's repair and improvement of the Byzantine fortifications. Some authors date that construction to the time of the 1522 Siege of Rhodes, but a more likely date is between 1530 and 1536. As late as 1911, it was still being used to supply the city with drinking water from Mount Pangaeus.
