I'm about 80 miles or so south of Tokyo, and about 100 miles south of where I lived before. It's quite nice here, and the "rainy" season should end in about a month. It's cloudy now, but we shouldn't get rain again til Tuesday.

How big a city is Fresno?

Last I checked the rail line was still cutting off the golf course's draining system, so whenever it rains a lot it gets flooded.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I heard it and now it's running through my head. and I don't know the other words.

Talking about songs that get in one's head. There is a commercial for LensCrafters (or was it Market Optical?) that has an upbeat song that was also used for some Pixar movie years ago (was it Ratatouille?).

I think the lyrics are gibberish but it sounds like "boom babe, boom babe." With boom being a lower pitch than babe.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Things have come full circle. My dad used to ask us kids about the lyrics to songs and he usually had them wrong. Once it took several weeks. We could make no sense out of the lyrics he was saying. Eventually the song came on the radio when we all were around. We had a good laugh at how far off his version of the lyrics were.

and now I'm doing the same thing. o.O

I figured I had to be messing up the lyrics somehow.
