I think SC4 will be strong for another 5-8 or so years, then it might fade because newer operating systems may have trouble running it.

 

TNP has played SC2013, but has found that SC4 is better.

Nope.  But if the offline version of SC2013 is released free from Origin and online DRM, then I will give it a try.  I'm not logging on to play an offline game, this is the major reason I've not yet played Civ V either.

 

The next person dislikes the current everything-online, license-to-use-not-to-own version of gaming.

While online modes can be fun, they certainly shouldn't be at the expense of playing without an internet connection. I think always-online is borderline acceptable for consoles, but not PCs where they can be more portable. If you have a laptop while on the train, you probably won't have an internet connection, so would be unable to play. It's also a a shame everything seems to be following the trends of social media. Share your score on Facebook / Twitter... honestly, who really cares?!

I've taken several.  I've been to Florida (from Michigan) several times with my family, once with my exgf, several times up north in Michigan (not including my college years), St. Louis and Baltimore with my dad, Chicago, New Orleans for Mardis Gras (that was interesting, but I don't remember much), and Tokyo and my wife's hometown.  I want to drive to Nara/Osaka/Kyoto or up to Tohoku, but my wife is not down with that idea right now.
