thanks guys! ;)

Yes I use 3dsmax 2010 for made my BAT but I doesn't know used BAT4MAX with the tools, and tuto are in english :D it's not easy to translate that

Well it seems you have got it to make preview renders in BAT4MAX? What parts are you struggling with as you seem to have a grasp of modelling, GMAX exports etc etc...are you using Arch and Design materials? I would suggest using this for all materials on the model, they are more realistic and customable. Would really like to see you move forward with yuor BATS condiering you have both the talent and tools

In reality I build my model in 3ds max (model textures more) then I export to 3ds format SC4 BAT. Can I export format SC4 in the game.

But do not know my building export directly from BAT4MAX. I do not understand.

    The Tishman is ready =D

In the meantime, here's another skyscraper of the 5th ave in NYC.

I translated in french the tuto made by SImfox on how to install correctly BAT4MAX

    Have a look there:

    https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=10596.msg319715#msg319715

Moreover with the last version of bat4max, you have nothing complex to do, just follow the few steps even if your english is bad you can easly succeed

I think you'd see a great improvement if you rendered from BAT4MAX as it is designed, like Girafe says, its very straight forward process. I'd also advise using Arch and Design materials, working on using actuall glass materials and doing proper nightlights as your models are definately lacking in the night light department, again especially so with the tools you have at your disposal. :)

New building is looking nice, textures are improving

thanks paulvmontfort it's ok export is ready :D.

But after export of the building from 3dsmax the ".SC4model" file contain just the LODs and nothing else.

Like the tuto of Girafe explain, we must select "FSH Batch Build", this is OK and the command windows open. In next when I select "DAT FSH Insert" a dialogue box open and say that :

If you are using the latest version of BAT4MAX there is no need to do anything manually.

Just export the LODS as a .3ds model, import them into GMAX and export, this creates the .SC4model file in your plugins folder, then once you export is ready, select the target model and click dat exports..this then runs through rendering, creating the FSH files and inserting them automatically

Well, make sure to post some pictures here first. :D It's really awesome that you are using 3dsmax now. Your texturing skills have improved considerably, and once you're familiar with reflective windows, Arch & Design materials and some of the great night lighting options, the quality of your buildings will skyrocket!

For these sort of windows you won't need spots, or any lighting. Jason has written a tutorial on using Self illuminated materials to fake a night window.

    https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/topic/4778-jasons-bats/page__view__findpost__p__1146813

It's really straight forward, just create a material in tick self illumination, then in the filter check box just use your nightlight bitmap.

You can also turn glare on using the glare button in BAT4MAX toolbar next to the night lighting options.

The Tishman Building looks great! Are the different roof textures for the different levels intentional?

I think you are on a really good track; your texturing skills have improved. You are also using true reflective windows and a ground plane now, that's great. In case of the Tishman Building, however, I think the ground plane is not ideal yet. There are too many large surfaces in one and the same colour, and too many clearly discernible shapes. Your ground plane doesn't have to be an actual image, it can also be a bit more chaotic and undefined. After all, its only purpose is to create the vague illusion of unspecific "city reflections" in the windows.

Btw, have you scaled the building on the Z axis yet? I'm asking because it looks a bit squat right now, but maybe that's how it is.

In any case, it's good to have you back. I hope you are here to stay. :)

Thanks guys! It's really nice to retake the BAT and 3D.

The Tishman has two textures for the roof levels, it's normaly. I would like adding dirt for the first roof, and adding blinds backside the windows. I still have a lot of work done on the building :)

I should actually change the scale of the Z axis the windows are beings moin Crushed it.

Now I finish the 650 fifth ave et je le post sur le STEX ;)

IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! And not to mention, an incredibly amazing surprise!

Does this mean you are planning on BATing all of the buildings in the complex?

Please, please, please do not put speed over quality!!!!!! Look at the details of the building and I think you need to work on the texturing and the window frames does not seem to be visible, the model look to quickly made, like your in a rush, I am too, butquality is important . :)
