    No, tests are finished... release date is near!

    And I've got a big surprise... Version 3 has been split in 9 small mods... each one contains a feature.

    Right now I'm creating the setup, so you can easily install features you want!

    I'm planning a separate mod for save and autosave.

    I discovered that MC left code for a Save/Load menu, that lets you save the city where you want, and load it when you want.

    If I can, then I'll remove the autosave as well! Thanks for the idea!

    You know Globexco, I think you are really saving Cities XL. Many more people are getting interested in the game now!

    With that bug about the traffic on railroads, sea and air, does that mean when you solve it we have a 'working' TRAIN SYSTEM?? And is the bug actually solveable??

    No, at the moment creating buildings for CXL is not possible. But if Focus decides to promote custom content, then the first thing they'll publish is probably their plugin for 3dsMax!

    And I've got some news:

    about the autosave functions: I found the right function... now I'm trying to create a button that turns on and off the autosave.

    about transport system:

    MC planned a big transport system... they prepared tags for trains, metro, waterways, airways...

    But simply these tags don't work! Everything is called in the right way in the moddable part... but I think there's something missing in the exe.

    We'll see if in 2011 version they did some improvement in exe code...

    Version 3 released.

    Remember that if you get a crash while opening an existing city, then that slot has been corrupted by other mods.

    You can solve this problem only by creating a new city...

    Run the installer to install features... remove them manually by removing files from paks folder.

    Do not remove the base file or you won't be able to use the mod.

    The support to version 2 has been extended until a new patch for v3 will be released.

    I must be really stupid...but I don't think there are any new maps at all (checked through all of the regions and ofcourse selected it to be installed)

    EDIT!!

    Actually the installer didn't work. I extracted it w/ 7-zip and placed the relevant files in Pak manually and now it works. Thanks.

    The installer works, you have to select you PAKS folder when installing though.

    Thank you all...

    Something I forgot: if you're using Windows 7 or Vista, you need to run the installer as admin... or you'll get write errors.

    I have to say that this Unlocker V3 has slowed down the game a little bit. When I lay or delete roads, especially, there's a lag of a few seconds. This happens only since installing yesterday the V3.

    other people with the same problem?

    Nothing changed in roads... so I don't know what's the problem.

    About new maps... it's a great idea!

    Can you create some maps of real cities to use with blueprints? (for example London, San Francisco, Berlin, Rome,...)

    They can be easily added to the maps mod... when you're ready, send me your favorite ones!

    I've got some big news about mass transport!

    I can try to explain the problem with some example:

    There are two types of transport:

    * First type: roads. People from buildings use cars to go to work:

    [house] ___ road (cars) ___ [office]

    In this type there's only one layer, the cars one.

    * Second type: bus. People from building go to bus station, use buses to go to another station and then go to office.

                                                                      [bus] ___ road (bus) ___ [bus]

    [house] ___ road (pedestrian) ___ [station]                               [station] ___ road (pedestrian) ___ [office]

    This type uses two different layers, one for pedestrians and one for buses...

    Now, MC planned many other transport ... and they use a second layer. Just replace bus station with rail station, seaport, airport, ... but also skilift, ski slope ...

    The problem seems to be the station! Many files are needed to get bus station to work...

    So the same amount is needed to get other station working...

    Anyway, I tried to create a fake road, enabled only for trains... but fake tags don't work!

    Next thing I want to try is to enable normal transport on a railroad, and see if animation are showed, or there's a bug in actor tags...

    I have a question. How do you get the power to run in the GEM's? I got it to run somehow once but ever since then they dont work...

    The only thing you can do is to place all services before placing other things...

    Anyway, as soon as I find the right file, I'll release a patch to disable that icons (since writing simulation info is too much for me!)

    Trains are working fine for now, they plop each time now 4.gif It might be because I got a new graphics card, a GTX460.

    Before that, I used two cards in SLI for Cities XL.

    Trying to get trains working.

    This is what I tried:

    * created a new layer, called "RailStation"

    * created a fake building, with that layer

    * added descriptions to trains, so they're considered as cars

    * the new layer uses as propagation the new models

    By placing the new building near a road, and putting a fake office on the other side, traffic is enabled...

    and trains are showed!

    Now I'll try to create a railroad only for those models...

    and then I'll try to see if I can attach wagons to trains!
