Ignore the rude things, just post on topic and pretend that they don't exist. What they want is reaction and I suggest we just get on with the thread. On topic, how much time is remaining? What is left to do? I'm a newbie to modding, but if there's anything I could do, just pm me.

Well, bowserchomp, I have an offer for you: you get paid 1 cent for every day you wait with the amount doubling every day you wait BUT you must pay 1 cent for every day you use any of GlobexCo's mods with that amount doubling every day (you wait 3 days you get paid 1c+2C+4c, you play 4 days you pay 1c+2c+4c+8c, the 7 cents are deducted from payment and you pay 8c). If you do not want to pay, you must publicly insult yourself and you will earn $1-$10 dollars based on creativity and severity of insults. You cannot repeat the same insult twice in the same way (unless you want to earn a mere 50c). If you insult someone else and we can prove it, you must pay $1-10.

My response: I don't know hat the engine is, and neither Focus Home Interactive nor Monte Crito are listed on the developer list. I need these to be added before I can add it.

I'm also eagerly awaiting this. 600 unlocks is massive, considering the game is advertised as having 700 buildings standard.

    * Sandbox mode (resources everywhere & unlocked buildings from start)

    Do you want some special feature? Metrostation, that isn't underground.

    I found two Metrostations in unpacked game. 

       -> r_tn_roadmetro_station_20x40

       -> r_wy_roadmetro_station_20x40x40

    What is this? Is the last one a Elevated Metrostation?

    My special wishes?

    Ski GEM! And this with all the 4 slopes (green, blue, red, black) in the three different wides (20,40,60) as MC promoted some time ago. Would be really great!

    And another special wish/question: Is there any .actor for chairs and telecabins which could ride on the actually unanimated lifts?

    @anton: I guess you found this files in gfx folder? Not sure, BUT there is no .class and no .layout file for any overground station. I will talk with some texture modders to unpack these files.

    Thats great news! By the way, if you could reveal just abit info, Are there locked low/medium density commercial/residential buildings in the unlocker aswell? Since I love making big european cities it would be great with a tad less repetive buildings in my cities. Sorry for nagging 3.gif

    Hello, GlobexCo! Perhaps you've answered these before (and I apologize if you have), but I've got two questions for whenever you have time to answer them:

    1. Are the buildings that are being unlocked functional, or simply eye-candy?

    2. Are the smaller Freeway on/off ramps (without roundabouts on the ends) included in this, or were they not in the files of CXL11?

    Few low residential buildings, no more.

    Most of new things are industries and utilities.

    1. Unlocked buildings are functional. The new hospital is an hospital, new industries have simulation data and so on.

    The test team is focusing on that aspect too.

    2. I don't think so (actually I haven't checked models yet)

    In my opinion new metro stations are very hard to be implemented, since the metro system at the moment does not accept line edit. The whole system should be done from scratch in order to have a better construction tool, and the ability to change stations "live".

    I wish we had some sort of Real Highway Mod like SC4 does, 2 by2 you can do, rural highway, 4by 4, 5 by 5 but no 3 by 3 separated instead of an expressway, that would be cool 9.gif

    Micromanagement and mods  are always the keys, at my view, for the fun  in a long game, adding diversity and additional or undiscovered ways of playing.

    I played a lot citiesxl online but the game at end was totaly unfun because i cant add diversity, i had a city with 4 millions and 5 slave cities, all the landmarks and the  blueprints, but tropical islands look the same of mountain cities.

    Now i have buyed cities 2011 but the problem is always the same, we need like in sim city more diversity.

    Your work gives to the game some more fun , have a great day 4.gif

I remember that City Life only had 300 buildings (though it eventually went up to 360 with Edition 2008) and SimCity 4 had 400 buildings after Rush Hour. Cities XL had about 700 building at release and you are practically doubling that!

    I dont think is the number of buildings inside the game that makes the diversity, is the time that modders spend on it to make new buildings that makes the diversity,

    Sim city has like 10000 or more buildings, perhaps are a lot more so is a lot of fun to micromanage it.

    I did a nice Amsterdam with downloads from simtropolis.

    The developers can't make enough buildings to satisfy the need of diversity of a micromanegement,they need to make new plug in to download and sell;  only our great community of modders can make the real diversity 4.gif

    Forget it! For that you need to build whole new models, but even if we would be able to create them the interchanges have .layout files which could be layed from here to the moon and back.

    So there is actually no way to create new highways for the game.

    Same questions, same answers:

    Monte Cristo created models for game using a software, that reads 3dsMax ascii format and convert it into sgbins.

    I don't think we can recreate such a thing, so asking that to Focus is the best idea (and we already did that long time ago)

    My work here is to mod, not to create things.

    I can change values, add code... but don't ask me to add models to game!
