Somehow the link between the Xrefed file with cameras and lights and it's helper (that what is "rotating" you view) in your scene file have got broken.

You can try following:

File->XRef Scene

There select the scene from the list (it should be all alone there), and click on Remove.

Close the window.

After that go to your BAT Roll-outs, Parameters, to be exact and click on Reset Lights & Cameras

With the problem with the same camera views, I think I had this problem before and fixed it some how...trying to remember... But until I remember, You've tried Reseting the lights and cameras in the BAT Tab in Gmax right?

Parisian, you're well on the way to becoming a brilliant Batter already - and I really like how you stood up for yourself 9.gif

As you had already exported the W Times Square Building, the easiest way to solve these issues is to open a new BAT scene and then merge (File -> Merge) all of the elements from the W Times Square Building except the TB2 Camera Handle, Thumbnail camera and LODS 3,4 and 5. Save it as something else and re-export.

This should fix some of these glitches. If it doesn't address the lighting issue (I assume you have used nightwindows), then this is often caused by looking in the folder where the night windows are located while in the filmstrip view - you will need to delete the hidden thumbs.db file from the nightwindows folder - make sure that your folder views on your computer are only set to list/details first 2.gif

Good evening! I ve been absent for a while. Now I m back.

First, could I upload this W Towet hotel to the STEX under my name and the NYBT or should I have to be validate by all the team. Laybe my building is not yet perfect, it needs some improvement.

I ve a new building to show you, I made this few times ago. Tower 49 in New York between Madison and 5th avenue.

Another already exists on the STEX. I ve create this with a simple facade (ground by ground) and I ve put a window texture under the facade couch. (not that clear ...5.gif sorry)

well first off, does it have nightlights ? it certainly looks amazing.

secondly, no you don't have to wait for confirmation from the team to upload.

And your new building looks amazing 4.gif

ok ok I will do it tonight. I just need an information concerning the way I can scale it by 60-80% -where can I find this? U meant that I need to make it bigger to enter the game and look like a normal size (because SC4 tends to "diminish" buildings?

SimFox means that the scale of the entire building is off. It should just be abe to fit on a 3x3 lot, and for the release, it should be centered on a 3x4 lot to allow for the plazas on the north and south sides of the building.

Ahh Thank you for your "translation" 9.gif

Unfortunately I have a problem with the file now. Look on this :

    sanstitrekl.jpg

ANYWAY, I WILL REMAKE IT ENTIRELY NEXT TIME... I WILL SIZE IT ON A 3X4. THE BUILDING ENTRANCES ARE OPENNED ON BOTH STREETS (48th and 49th).

I think gmax has autoback just like 3ds. I'd check there before you give up on that model, gmax might have backed up the scene.

I had this problem with 120 wall street. I tried to get to the backup but I could not because at the time I have over two or three GMAX scenes up at on time and It probably saved over the 120 backup scene. I could of continue to finishing it up but I have decided that someone can do better than me. For the Beekman Hotel Tower I really don't know why I did not finish it.15.gif

Well, I ve remade it entirely. I m a little bit tired tonight to create and wait for a render. Especially because the zoom is too far to show details. I will do that tomorrow.

I post a gmax scene capture. Don't pay attention to the roof and the base, I have not yet worked on it 15.gif

It looks good but I think most people agree that in simcity the windows should be reflecting at an angle somewhat similar to what you'd see in say googlemaps or bing as opposed to a building directly across the street.

It's not Zoom 4 render, or you have a major issue with it.

When building it to large to fit on screen render output window scales itself 1/2, 1/4 etc. You can zoom in or out with mouse wheel... This would most definitely be to bit for screen so you just have to make several screen grabs and than assemble it together in some image editing software.

good start but may want to take another look at some aspects of your model:

    0e33ac869b93.jpg

also, the back balconies are of wrong shape...

BTW, have you decided to scale it along the street, or left it at 10m?

here few pictures to help you along:

    sliver01.jpg

also, notice how windows height gets smaller the farther they are from the corner

Hey Simfox, Thanks for your site. It's very helpful. I didn't pay attention that balconies were only every 2 floors. And I have to re-work the base for sure. Corners are too large, i will rescale them now. For the windows, i ve already remake the changing of glasses surfaces. Could you confirm that this building is a 32 Stories? I don't know yet for the scale cuz my city in simcity is not yet back on my laptop because as I said, my computer crashed 2 weeks ago and I ve transfered all my stuffs on a friend's boot.

I m working on it, I will post other pics later. 9.gif
