Just to keep this from going terribly inactive, and because I noticed that there were no region shots (Oops!), Here is a region census of the whole region.

A larger version will be available later in the form of an attachment.

    Hello MayorTim.

And no, I haven't forgotten about Newark, its just RL keeps me form visiting all my favorites out there. Anyways, the region shot really does explain Newark natrual beauty and from that view, Newark looks no larger than a small town.
Brilliant work as always, and I can't wait to see the full region view, as it may have me drooling over my keyboard. 5.gif

Click the above picture, it will bring you to a full picture of the region.

EDIT: Sorry it isn't in its full 7700x 2800 glory, I didn't realise that Imageshack automatically resizes pictures! 15.gif

Also, the attachment is nothing, don't bother downloading. The full picture of Newark was too big to upload, and when it failed uploading, it apparently put a blank document there instead.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Since I had a question, here goes...
GMT: About 15 minutes from the point I click the SC4 icon to the point I get to region view (This is while skipping the movie).

Also, I have been a bit side tracked as of late in my SC4 endevors, because now with the Cycle Dog snowcap modd, I can finally have the mountains I want! I have been trying it out in the area that will one day be a National Park, and it is pretty breathtaking with trees.

Flamesrock really did a spectacular job with this region, Cycle Dog did a fantastic job with his terrain modd, and Jeronij did a superb job with the snowcap addon.

This update combines all 3, and really shows how much can be done in SC4 without ever laying a street.

    Looks good!

For the region view, resize the full picture on your computer until it is under 1MB in size, and then upload it and see if that works. Or just resize it until it is under 2MB in size and upload it on www.imgcity.net .

Yup! So sorry I haven't added one yet, but my SC4 life right now mainly consists of loading a blank terrain, planting trees, exiting, loading another, planting more trees.......

Extremely boring, and my horrible computer doesn't help speed the progress up one bit. However, it does look awesome, and I have a feeling my region is going to look 1,000,000,000x better when it is completely forested.

I should have a few new region shots of some of the forests pretty soon though, so hang in there!

Hmm, FF isn't loading this journals pictures for you? I always use firefox, and am on it right now, and I can see everything. All my pictures are hosted on imageshack, so it isn't my end. Check your browser settings.

Anyway, I am still slowly plugging away at forseting the region (though I will soon return to city building.) Here is a region picture to show how the forested sections currently look.

Dont worry, the pics decided to load, and very nice they are! That is one impressive region, it would almost be sinful to build on it!(Just kidding, I cant wait to see how those cities look)

Nope, the above portion of the region (part with trees) Will forever be a National Park. Too mountainy for anything to really look good and natural in SC4, so best to leave it as it is.

I continue actually building and adding to Newark's infrastructure tomorrow. (I have the day off from school... w00t!)

A scenic national park then, ah well, your other cities make up for it!'
What happened to your sig? Did you finally get that new PC? Or , like me, you gave up on $5000 falling out of the sky?

Nope, I sure didn't. Alienware is really ******* (making me mad), since they raised the prices of the computer I was going to buy, and it really isn't worth the money anyway.

I am now looking at lower profile makers with cheaper prices, and right now the top candidate is PollyWell. I have also decided to hold of on the Xbox 360 till Halo 3 comes out.

    ---------------

Anyway, an update should come soon guys!

be carefull about lower cost computers, they may have problems, lower quality, which means they break more often, proprietary, you have to have them fix or upgrade, or non upgradeable Disposable PCs, i would recommend building one, they can be cheaper, and faster, and you can chose the specs, search for prices at www.newegg.com , www.tigerdirect.com , and frys electronics www.frys.com , and computer shows. Didn't you say you live somewhere in flordia one time, becuase i think tigerdirect has a warehouse in miami.
