What are your most populated regions?

Does anybody know what the most populated region of all time is?

My largest was 600,000 and RCI stagnated. The city had a large amount of suburbs.

mine was in the timbuktu region- with about 1,200,000 sims (I had almost every city square thing established)

I am currently working on a small region with a city that only has 600,000 sims, but I only have a small square with skyscrapers, so the 600,000 number might raise to 2,000,000. Who knows what will happen.

My biggest current one is 797,000.

I am hoping to grow it to around 1,000,000 but it is already sprawling quite a lot, as cities tend to. It's generally low density bar the inner suburbs and commercial district, where there are a few skyscrapers and a small subway system linked to the region's rail network.

Second largest at the moment, 230,000 and stagnating.

I usually get bored once i hit the half a million mark.

I used to have a few between 400k and 700k but my hard drive was wiped!

My largest so far was 206,000, but I do mostly low-density, and that one had only two cities with anything resembling skyscrapers. I was just starting on the downtown of what would have been the capital, but then I got bored with the flavorless terrain (I'd miscalculated the elevation when I rendered it, as it was my first ever and it was practically flat) and quit before the region was even 1/3 full. My next two regions were less than 100K when I gave up on them, and the one I'm on now is about the same, although it's going well so I think it'll probably be about 1 million by the time I'm done with the entire thing in... a few years... ^^

Which region was the one with 158 million? It must have been a skyscraper jungle... or probably a skyscraper RAINFOREST. It would be impossible to create a region large enough to hold a population like that with a real-world style layout. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure absolutely amazing to look at.

Largest one I've made had 1.1 million, but it's currently less, as I destroyed the largest city.

Largest one I've heard of is the GTR, with in excess of 17 million sims. Mightygoose, may I ask about which region you're talking? One on you pc, or one from a CJ?

Do you guys build mostly high density or low density sprawl? I tend to have a technique where there is a central populated city and then just lower density suburbs surrounding. I almost never have high density outside the main city, and medium density in some inner suburbs. I find it's a little more realistic but creates some headaches with transport etc

Treolburg/Treålborg (International/Swedish name) has 2.367.436 citizens. Excluded Suburbs. (large City)

Svarskrona 1.395.468 citizens (large City)

Bergsjön 368.435 citizens (medium)

The Country has had a fast growing population but has stagnated, Nordica now faces a aging population with smaller workforce,more finacial problems and jobs moving abroad.

Oh, regions as in regions and not cities. Thought so. Because I got 5 million people in a region once. That was my maximum.
