put the majority of downloads in documents/simcity4/plugins and it should work properly, some have installers (the NAM for instance) so things in the right place. I think I might be missing some stuff, but these are basics and welcome to Simtropolis.

Simcity 4 does run on Windows 7, running it on a laptop (PC).

kingdiz_55 is right, you need the elevated roads.

My largest was 600,000 and RCI stagnated. The city had a large amount of suburbs.

I personally prefer to lay down a nuclear power plant in the center of the city and then detonate it. That or raise a volcano.

This may not be as monstrous as Rionescu's, but it was a first attempt at really using RHW and I'm surprised it worked.

I had close to the same problem. Try destroying a section of the highway, the part where you want the exit, and then try to make it fit there using Home and End buttons.
