I am very frustrated. My budget keeps shrinking and then teachers go on strike. I try to solve and raise the budget but then it just jumps into the trillions?! Is there a bug in an education plug in that I am not aware of?

I have suddenly the same problem in EVERY city of my entire area. I have no idea why it suddenly came. Maybe it in a recent building I downloaded?

Hi @bunnybunny

Could be...If you made changes to something, or if you downloaded and installed something that altered the costs of a building you already had in the game. Have you installed any custom education buildings after having placed other education buildings previously? Depending on what you've done since the problem started will determine the difficulty in 'fixing' the issue. You might check here for more information.

Yep. This is very, very likely the culprit. *

In the linky @CaptCity provided, the easy solution is in the Overview part of my post and that's if you have not bulldozed any of the affected buildings. If you have, there are still ways we can fix your cities and counter the bug, but they can take quite of bit of questions and answers back and forth with me while we determine the severity of the problem.

I have devised a method which has so far been 100% successful, but it can be a bit tedious to do if it's one of the more complex scenarios. The main starting question is to find out which buildings you have downloaded that are are causing the phantom slider bug. Also, while there are times that bulldozing right off will be the correct thing to do, there are other times that'll make it much more difficult so it's best if we find out the exact situation before attempting anything.
