Very cool burning balls of nuclear flame. (AKA stars) Some of your ped bridges aren't showing though.

    Smarty218: Thats Venus LOL!

and Streetwise, cool interchange, although I am not fond myself of the weaving that interchanges causes (having 2 entrances/exits close together). Still, it looks great in the combination you have made it in. Good work!

    Keep showing us your interchanges!

I got to say, these are quite creative given the lack of interchange options from Simcity. Whenever I get my new region started I'll try to share mine.

Hey everyone, its been a while since I posted a new update here, but I do have some new ones to show you.  I am working on a new coastal burb for my metropolis, and because of the presence of the sea, I had to take that into account when I planned my highway system.  Anyways, here are a few images from the recent development/construction:

As always, Click on the images to view them in FULL RESOLUTION! (1440x900)

Ok, here are some of mine...

These interchanges are the rebuilts of the german highway 3 [A3/E52] around Frankfurt am Main.

It´s one if not the most important HWs in germany and also europe - maybe not the widest HW, but its in the heart of europe, connecting transit between west and easteurope.

Lets start with some minor interchanges with dual carrigeways (Bundesstraßen):

The "AS - Hanau" connecting the B45 with the A3 in a unusal interchange, because of the close interchanges on the dual carrigeway it was impossible to build a cloverleaf like interchange here.

    ashanaufernct9.th.jpg

    http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/1659/ashanaunahpu2.jpg

    Next is the AS-Frankfurt Süd

    asfrankfurtsdnahberarbeoz1.th.jpg

    asfrankfurtsdnahberarbeoz1.jpg

Now some more interresting interchanges- the "Offenbacher-Kreuz" connecting the A661 to the A3

    kreuzofnahberarbeitetog1.th.jpg

    kreuzofnahberarbeitetog1.jpg

    kreuzoffernberarbeitetmm9.th.jpg

    kreuzoffernberarbeitetmm9.jpg

And now my masterpiece - the Frankfurter Kreuz - connecting the A5 and A5 - an amazing interchange - partly 19 lanes wide - a knot for all Transit going north/south via A5 and west/east via A3 - left hand is also the 3rd biggest european airport .

    kreuzffmfernah7.th.jpg

    http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/3014/kreuzffmfernah7.jpg

maybe these facts arent amazing for americans BUT - we in germany have other amenities than the broadest highways - we have the right to drive as fast as we want - imagine to drive there with 200-300 km/h (as fast as ur car and ur earning can) 9.gif

PS. sorry for being to stupid to upload piccus in a proper way - html code didnt work like usual for me, and now im too sleepy to fix it this night. 15.gif

Ozon: WOW! Excellent job with those interchanges! If they were modeled after real world interchanges, then thats just crazy! The placement of the signs and other eyecandy adds to the overall appearance. The only thing that I don't like about them are the very sharp turns and the weaving. Other than that, amazing work!

bbfan02: Wow, thats very creative! Again, like I said to Ozon, the turns are very sharp, but, other than that, it looks neat at the top of the hill! If you converted your main highway (the horizontal one in the photo) from a one-way road to a RHW, it would further improve both the appearance and functionality (RHWs have a faster speed than one-ways) of the highway.

Anyways, I will post some more some time. Keep showing us your interchanges!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

Haljacky: That is the only way for me to make it look like a 2 lane highway. I have the RHW installed but I can't reinstall it because my plug-ins folder is so big and is very unorganized. It would take hours and days on end. Thanks for the comments. I might post some more of those types.

bbfan02:  Well the RHW is easy to install.  As long as you have the NAM and NAM Essentials installed, then the RHW should work no problem!

Anyways, I have something different to show ya while I am here:

As always, Click on the images to view them in FULL RESOLUTION!

I made a Dumbbell interchange (or roundabout interchange depending on where you live).  Due to space constraints, this is the only design that I could make that would maximize efficiency.

Ozon, Great compact cloverleaf. I never use the Maxis cloverleaf because it takes up too much land.

And the second being Newarks newest limited access and first electronic toll based highway planned and designed by Houston_Fan and Tuckaway Transportation... 202/A2 Tollway

granto93 - A screen recorder that works in conjuction with Direct-X which is automatically loaded with most PC games... whenever Direct X is active, it can record whatever it is displaying... it's a sweet programs but its output files are humongous... 1 large parcel of highway is about 400 Megabytes...  I had to compress them...

Btw for the videos... I just wanted to remind you, it does have sound... you can listen if you desire...
