Everything is white!

Something strange happend when i opened my city just now. Everything gradually started to turn white. Its not like this in any of my other citys. I havent intalled any new plugins since i last played.

The white is the Maxis snow Easter egg. It always happens on Dec 25th. Enjoy, it won't last long.

Ahh I forgot it. But why is it only showing up in some areas?

The snow only appears above a certain height above "sea level", so lower lying cities won't get it.

Yellow snow? "Don't eat it!"

Yellow snow may be in polluted areas. I've not fooled with it so I'm not sure

So, I was working on Central Syldav just now. I was thinking about how cool it would be to make the mountainous region snow, and I was debating wether or not I would get a snot mod or something.

Yep Every Time your computer date says December 25th,  there will be snow on your mountians. Tommorow when your date is the 26th, your snow will be gone again.

Nice to know, since it's highly unlikely that I'd ever play a game on Christmas day. Well, highly unlikely that I'd play a game that I didn't receive on Christmas, on Christmas day. Hmmm, I think there will be a lot of days that are Christmas day now in SC4 for me.

Well, yes it still should. The date on your computer must be December 25th for it to take effect.
