The Last Post.

We have lost four more troops and an embedded reporter to yet another IED in Afghanistan.

[For the benefit of our American cousins, we don't play Taps, but The Last Post as mourning music.]

I'm currently listening to a national radio station, which airs a list of the best 2000 songs according to listeners. Currently they play The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the devil, but I don't know its place in the list, except it is in the top 100, and probably top 50.

Regards,

Korot

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Backstreet Boys - Unbreakable

The trouble is I can't get her outta my mind when I close my eyes at night

Who's gonna save me? Now she's gone...

The trouble is there's a part of me that still can't let go of the memory

Now I know what it is, love is what the trouble is....

Hold On - Ian Gomm [1979-peaked at #18 on Bilboard's top 100 Singles Chart and spent 5 weeks in the top 40]

I've been drifting on a sea of heartbreak

trying to get myself ashore

For so long, for so long

Listening to the strangest stories

wondering where it all went wrong

For so long, for so long

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

I've been dreaming of a new tomorrow

of waking in the morning sun

For so long, for so long

There's no time for revolution

I've got be traveling on

yeah so long, for so long

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got...

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

So hold on hold on hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got

Hold on to what you got

when they stop the drum machine and I can think again
