Yeah, thats where I draw the line too. I wouldn't see the time arising that you would only have a gaming console at hand and not as computer. While my iPhone has a touch screen key board, the consoles have directional buttons. Writing something like this would be near impossible on a console.

A cordless universal keyboard would be the only excuse for me, but since I never need my keyboard without my computer, I don't mind it being tethered to it.

1596. I agree with that, I don't see the point of a cordless keyboard to begin with, as when was the last time the computer was more than 1 meter away from the keyboard/mouse/monitor?

1597. The whole point of console internet is to play people online i think it is a added bonus that you cant talk to them as well the keyboard comes in very handy if you have ever used Playstation Home.

Meh. Online play is best done in radio silence. I don't want to listen to some troll making nasty comments, I just want to blow their virtual head off.

And personally, I don't much like playing online against total strangers, anyway. My copy of Brawl has over 1500 matches played, all played either just by me (and the computer) or me and other people present in the room. I'm not touching the WiFi link option. In fact, all I've ever used the Wii's internet connection for is to download system updates, Megaman 9, and the Nintendo Channel (and from there, the Acid Arrest and Crimson Meteor battle cards for Megaman Star Force 3). It will get used for downloading again next year once Megaman 10 comes out. I forese no other use of it at this point.

1599. Personally, I think that an on-line multi-player feature might be nice, as always playing against the same person(s) might get boring after a while. And in case you team up against someone, having a chat function might come in handy. However, just having a connection, for having a connection sounds stupid to me.

Never played any of those games. I generally don't play any FPS/TPS sort of game unless it has "Duke Nukem" in the name. Not my thing.

1602. While I do enjoy playing with people in the room more than random strangers, its still nice to know that you are better (or in most cases worse) than some people out there... Although, knowing that you are better than your friends has way more benefits and bragging rights.

1606. Probably won't be too long before he passes me now.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

1609. It is snowing here as well, and a lot of people aren't that happy about it, because the roads are blocked, buses and trains don't operate and there are always young kids with snowballs to watch out for.

1611. Larks, you've been sniped.

Edit: To post below: Both, A in BL's case, and B in my case, where larks decided that it was better to delete his post, then to edit it.

I never really played Zero Hour (never had an N64).

On the other hand, I do also have Time To Kill, Land of the Babes, and that Gameboy color game most people didn't notice.

As for Duke Nukem Forever... feel free to go and spend that money on something else. 3D Realms went out of business earlier this year, so we can pretty safely say that no further Duke Nukem games will ever be coming out.
