Depends upon your local electricity cost, how efficient the lights are, and how long you leave them turned on.

1544. Chicago. My favorite hometown in the world.

The Hog Butcher of the World,

    Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,

Player with the Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler,

    Stormy, Husky, Brawling,

    City of the Big Shoulders

    -Carl Sandburg, Chicago

    God I love this city.

Nah, JPEG is fair game for photographs. It's actually what the format was designed for.

Just don't rerender them as JPEGs in MS Paint if you have to crop or edit.

1548. Well, a picture tells a thousand words. Not sure how many posts that is, though.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

1549 Random picture... So, what is it?

    - me after 12 hours in front of a PC isn't the right answer

    - a warp tunnel isn't the right answer

    - an oven isn't the right answer (neither a disguised oven...)

    psichedelic1.png

    Sorry, it's a png.

You lose quality whenever you rerender something as JPEG, especially in MS Paint.

If I do anything in MS Paint to a JPEG, I save it as PNG and then do one of two things:

    - if it's a photograph, I convert it back to JPEG in GIMP

    - otherwise, I run it through PNGOUT to cut down the filesize

    1555. Too far...

    Here's the right answer:

It's a picture taken from Windows Media Player 11, with a G-Force plugin, during the guitar solo of Highway Star (Deep Purple, 1972). Surprised?

    EDIT: sorry wrong count...

    1559 - Someone said, pictures?

    christmas-polar-bear.png

    Three questions about it,

    1) Whos avatar it was?

    2) When he/she used it?

    3) What Trixie Award it was runner up for, (which was lost to Boggy. 2.gif )
