This is my most recent one, something I made on Apophysis 2.02 program.  The picture is from a 21" monitor, so the resize makes it a little harder to see.

This would be the fourth forum that I've posted this in, but either way...here's my current desktop (complete with Pearl Jam accessory):

If my computer were better, I'd probably have the latest versions of those games (like AOE III, Civ IV, Sims II, etc.), as well as a few more.  But alas...it's not.

Well, summer's over (for me anyway), so the "Megaman Xtreme Beach Volleyball" desktop is out, but scantly clad Rockman/Megaman girls? I can still do that10.gif:

This one, like the last, is from DeviantArt.

first off, use the edit button

second, pngs show up as 0x0px dots in ie (so I can't see it either) and to fix this manually specify the size of the image.  In the image editing section (click the image icon) there is a size specifications.

Pirate Popsicle!

With all of the fruits of another SC4devotion scavenger hunt ready to be extracted, then when they are used I have to go back and find all of the ruddy dependencies which I always seem to be missing.

Somewhere towards the upper right of your keyboard will be a key that says "Print Screen", or sometimes just "Prt Scr". Press it.

Now open MS Paint and press Ctrl+V. A screenshot of whatever was on your screen (minus the mouse pointer) should now appear there. Now save the image, preferably as a png. If it's larger than 1.4 MB or so, you're not going to be able to upload it to imageshack, so you'll either have to resize it (which you'd have to do if you want to embed the full thing directly into your post anyway), or convert it to a jpeg. Never use MS paint to make jpegs, though, because it dithers the image. Use something like GIMP (open source freeware, just google it) or photoshop, and be sure to save it at 100% quality (MS Paint saves it at 85% quality, hence the dithering).

Anyway, once you've got your image ready to go, stick it on imageshack and then you can post it here. Personally, I prefer using the thumbnail to resizing, but do note that neither of the "thumbnail for forums" things that imageshack gives you will work on Simtropolis (or sporeum) since we're using non-standard bbcode. Instead, copy the "direct link to image". While composing your post, you can insert the thumbnail by changing the .jpg or .png in the url to .th.jpg or .th.png, respectively. Then, highlight the image, and insert the direct link to the full image as the link.
