    Mililani_1_Map.jpg

    Mililani is the transport hub of the island acting as a shortcut from North to South
    and East to West. The city has the biggest rail network and international rail station as
    well as the M1 motorway and the island's first tram network, although the city has no
    airport or underground (only Kaneone, the capital, has an underground network).

    The central bus station in Mililani is located in the City Centre which has been vastly
    improved through Government grants. The bus station offers a 'Park & Ride' service
    and has increased usage of mass transit and reduced congestion and traffic volumes.

    Mililani_BusStation.jpg

    The central bus station combined with the brand new rail station has bought new residents and
    businesses to the city and the City Centre and new Tram Network has opened up commercial
    opportunities, especially for retailers and high street product manufacturers.

    Mililani_OfficeBuildings.jpg

    The Central Tram Station is in the City Centre, just a minutes walk from the shops. Current troubles with the Union of Refuse Collectors has meant that garbage is a little bit of a problem in the city.
    (PS. Sorry for the spelling mistake below, was in a rush to complete this update)

    Mililani_TramCentral.jpg

    Another large Tram Station is positioned on the other side of the City, to the East.
    There are many other Tram stops around the city, but only two of these large stations.
    (The large stations are simply groups of lots of tram stops to allow greater passengers on and off)

    Mililani_TramEast.jpg

    A typical tram stop at the new plaza and cafe. Excuse the rubbish on the streets.

    Mililani_TramPlaza.jpg

    That's it for now. There's likely to be another update on Mililani, closely followed by Kaneone,
    Karneoloa, Sunset Beach and finally North Shore. After that, which would be the second tour, we will
    follow the development of the new transport network across the island.

    Thanks for popping by and keep the comments coming.

    Hmmmm, very nice, Mililani looks like a very nice place to stay. It might be good to rotate those tree lots every now and again though, otherwise they get a little repetitive.44.gif

    Pipishere: Thanks for your comment. The rubbish is a bit of a problem in the city. Current troubles with the Union of Refuse Collectors has meant that garbage is a little bit of a problem in the city.

    Muzz: Thanks for stopping by. The bus station is very green indeed. Part of the city's continuing efforts to become cleaner and greener.

    Sorchin: Hey! The texture is part of the NAM. I tend to use them alot to create pedestrianised areas as many cities (in the UK especially) have their city shopping centres pedestrianised.

    Jacqulina: Thanks. Nice to see you stop by.

    Jarnomiedema: Hey. Thanks for the comment. The streets are a little empty arent they, only god knows why, lol. And you're right, the stupid, I mean, pleasent garbage men of Isla de Sue

    Finally, a small update to tide you all over...

    This is a geographic map of Mililani which shows where the different areas of the city are located. Soon I'll get around to showing some areas of the city like Tooting, Clapham and North Park.

    Mililani_Map.png

    Unfortuently that is all I can show at the moment, I apologise for the lack of updates, a combination of being busy and now being ill. 8.gif

    On a better note you can get more information on the country HERE and more information and maps on Mililani HERE

    At first I thought this CJ was not that good when it was still new. I was so wrong. The maps and newspaper articles are great. I love your use of the roller coasters. Well done.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_1_Map.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    In the South of Mililani is the area of Clapham. Clapham is part of the city and is a mainly medium-rise residential area nestled between the M1-A1 Junction.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Clapham.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    North of Clapham is the residential area of Tooting. Situated close to the City Centre and with local access to the City Centre Tram, Central Underground and Bus Station, Tooting has established several hotels and numerous Apartment buildings.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Tooting.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    To the West of Clapham, and South-West of Tooting is Greendale Parks, another residential area of the city, Greendale Parks does not have the medium-rise Apartments or Hotels unlike Clapham and Tooting. Nestled amongst the residential houses of Greendale Parks is the brand new, ultra-modern Mililani City Library.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Library.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    Just a short travel from Clapham, Tooting or Greendale Parks is the City Centre which lines the A1 road and consists of offices from victorian stone medium-rises to modern glass high-rises.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Offices.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Offices2.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Offices3.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    North of Greendale Parks is a brand-new Business Park. Located near to the High Street area of the City Centre the Business Park is within walking distance of stores and restaurants, like this large shopping centre and McDonalds.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_Shopping.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    North of the Business Park, opposite the High Street Tram Station, is the new headquarters of Satellite Electronics, the country's biggest electronics manufacturer which develops High Definition TVs, Computers and Household Appliances.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Mililani_Nov05_SatelliteElectronics.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    That's it for now, the final update of Mililani.
    Next we'll be moving onto the Capital City of Kaneone, Sunset Beach and North Shore.
    These updates coming soon....

    Keep the comments & suggestions coming! Thanks!

    I really love your maps and Isla de Suenos looks wonderful - lurked here before but I never did really say anything *grin*

    I bear a diplomatic communique from the Viceroyalty of Domiea...

    suenos.jpg

    All in all, we await your favourable reply on the Viceroyalty of Dominea thread and apologise for our tardiness (as our minister was abroad and did not have enough credits on the web9.gif)

    Thank you

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_IslandMap.png align=baseline border=1>

    The City of Kaneone has had relatively good transport links with two airports and a central rail station which links to both the Northern and Southern Mainline. The newly updated rail station will also have a completely new line. The CityLink line runs between Mililani and Kaneone and will give commuters in the capital a fast link to Mililani's New Kings Station with rail access to the Northern, Western and Southern Mainlines.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_CentralStation.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    As well as the Central Rail Station in Kaneone, the Kaneone City Airport offers domestic (regional) flights across the nation. This is the 2nd airport in the city, although it is far smaller than Kaneone International Airport which has 3 terminals and is due to be expanded.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_CityAirport.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    The centre of the city's downtown, King's Square, has seen a new office building next to the Central Underground station. The Central Underground station is also the connecting point of the city's two underground rail links.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_KingsSquare.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    Close to King's Square is the brand new Ministry of Defence building. Known as Knight's House the MoD building holds both the nation's Ministry of Defence and acts as the HQ for the SCJU Ministry of Defence.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_KnightsHouseMOD.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    In order to expand the transport links within the city a new motorway, the M4, was constructed. The M4 Junction below leads to the Kaneone International Airport which is soon to be expanded. The new airport sign lights up the path to the airport before turning onto the bridge.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_M4Airport.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    The North of the City, a mainly residential area, has also received massive re-development with these new office buildings which line the M4 Motorway.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_NorthOffices.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    However, these offices are relatively small compared to the heart of the city surrounding King's Square, which plays host to the city's top commercial and financial buildings.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_Offices.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_Offices2.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    Below is the West of the city with the CityTravel HQ (operators of the AireSuenos airline) and the Canada Building which houses many top businesses.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_Skyline.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    Amongst these high-rise buildings is the national headquarters of Swiss RE company.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/Kaneone_Nov05_Skyline2.jpg align=baseline border=1>

    That's it for now, next update coming from Sunset Beach on the Northern most point of the island. Hope you enjoyed the update!
