Thanks, no hint needed - there any many more maps to come, aswell as in-game updates when I eventually get around to be able to play!

    Pearl City Map

    isla_de_sue%f1os_ordnancemap_pearlcity2.

You'll see above that the soutern-most city (bottom-centre) is Pearl City, the location of a recent disaster with it's power plants which you can clearly see on the map. No railways in these maps, they mostly go underground through built up districts so don't appear on the map, however in Pearl City, the railway is an extension of the current system and therefore not even built yet.

As you'll no doubt notice the road systems are very grid-like. This is because the island is fairly new in development (only discovered in the 1800's) and as the island is relatively small (about the size of Northern Ireland) this road systems allows for the maximum development space.

i agree that those maps are great but maybe when you post them you
should show some in game pics as well so we can get a feel for where
    everything is.

All cities have already been covered in the previous pages, look back through the pages and you'll see Pearl City and what's in it. As for new in-game pics, well I've said this before - I haven't had time.

Guess what... yeh! Still not got around to playing SC4, so still no in-game shots. Here's a small update to tide you all over.

    National Power Grid

Following the power disaster in Pearl City, the DoE (Department of Energy) outlined plans for two central power centres which provide power to cities across the island. At each city, a step-down transistor will provide the buildings with 230v, whilst a backup generator will compensate for any power losses that may occur.

The idea behind the plans are to remove power stations from cities completely, making for a safer environment.

Below is the first plan released by the DoE. The map shows the island, the two power centres and underground power lines. The red line seperates the areas which are controlled by either power centre in North Shore and Southfield.

Shock horror - I finally got around to playing SC4! 44.gif

Karneoloa is a small town of 20,000 residents which lies North of Mililani and South of Sunset Beach, nestled in an area of plains with rolling hills and ocean to it's East.

The B8 road was built to join the A3 to Sunset Beach with the A5 to the capital of Kaneone, cutting the journey time and reducing high traffic volumes travelling through the busy resort of Sunset Beach in order to reach Kaneone from the North.

The B8 heads Eastbound from the A3, just North of the town. The Karneoloa Services is off of the A3/B8 Junction and has numerous facilities and a hotel for overnight stays.

News on North Shore: I've decided to redo North Shore, making it more in touch with the country park. I decided that it's hotels etc. were not needed with Sunset Beach being it's neighbour. So, North Shore will take alot longer to come around. In the meantime, more updates on some of the new roads being developed. Below is, as shown on the previous page, the island Ordnance map showing all roads. Most of the B roads are to be built.

    New Roads on the Island

The Island is undergoing a massive change in it's road network. The Department of Transport has brought in over 15 new roads to span the island and cut travel times to major cities.

    <ahttp://www.x2digital.net/cj/doesouthfield_banner.png align=baseline border=0>

The DoE (Department of Energy) invested billions of pounds in developing the National Power Centre in Southfield. The NPC (National Power Centre) will control the national power grid and elimate power stations from city skylines. The NPC is located in Southfield, just to the West of Mililani and to the North of Golden Sands.

Each plant at DoE Southfield, of which there are currently six, provide fifty thousand megawatt hours per month, making a total of three-hundred-thousand megawatt hours per month nationwide. City Council's have to pay for the power to their city from the DoE, which is often reflected in local taxes. Although this adds power to citizens utility bills, the saving is huge with city's no longer needing to build and maintain their power grids, as all of this is handled by the DoE.

That's it for now. I am actually in the process of re-doing North Shore as I decided a huge city was not needed with Sunset Beach just next door, so North Shore will be a beautiful residential area filled with towns and forestry... and possibly an airport.

Also, please keep comments coming, they seem to have dried up recently. I know it may be because I haven't been able to update as much and as often as I would like, but I am trying my best to bring the updates to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

Interesting power supply concept and it looks good the way you used the pipes and the lamppoles. Now you just have to secure the supply of them ... any plans for oil harbours, refineries, oil rigs etc???

Thank you all for telling me. I believe the reason would be that I, along with others, wanted him out of the SCJU because he simply didn't do anything.

Just to assure everyone, there will be no war. He obviously can't wage a war with my nation without me agreeing to it, I believe that if he did, he would be breaking the rules.
