Sorry for the lack of in-game updates and the mass of newspapers, I'm currently working on Mililani, which is a HUGE job!

Guess what... Yep! Another newspaper.
To cut a long story short, the South-East Coast has been hit by a tropical storm which is ever worsening and set to become a Typhoon with winds reaching 75mph and above.

This isn't the entire update - Mililani is a big city nestled in hilly terrain, so for the time being here is the newly revamped city centre and brand new rail station...

The brand new New King's Station as well as the office buildings and large high street

shopping complexes were built through Government grants which aimed to improve the city.

The grants also paid for the development and placement of CCTV Security Cameras which

are linked directly to local law enforcement (You can see the CCTV camera at the top

right of the last picture - they heavily reduce crime in their radius).

I haven't been here in a bit but I like the little map and that you keep showing us where we are. The newspapers are great (heh... bird flu... though I especially like the sidebar of Events/Travel/Weather). And the shops around New Kings Station looks like a great place to enter the city.

Nice looking City journal Hammo... I've been watching your cj for a long time but never had the chance to post before...

I guess now is as good a time as any since our Nations are pretty much bent on trying to out do each other, in the worst possible way. Never mind... a squabble here and a squabble there is all life. I hope we can work out the differences soon.

 

You have a great looking City developing. I like the last update for sure. The new transport networks are looking great.

 

I like the layout of your news stories too. I live the effort you put into making your maps aswell... very original.

Ekie: It's the morning after the night before, which as typical of the locals involved some pretty heavy partying. There are also plans to introduce more clubs and pubs to the city.


Pip: Thanks for stopping by! I have to mention the excellent rail station is by Ill Tonkso. I've been wanting to use it for quite some time, and I think it's in a perfect position.

6underground: Thanks 6U. The station was built on the site of the previous rail station which meant minimal desruption to the existing rail lines, although there are now more lines.

The airport near Mililani (the central most area) has not begun construction yet!

Some of the ordance maps i've produced place emphasis on transport networks and geographic features, so heres a simple no thrills map similar to the one above which shows the cities and towns.

One of the island's biggest industries, if not THE biggest, is tourism. So here is a map of 20 must see tourist attractions which you should take a trip to on your visit to the island. There are a mix of entertainment, culture, architecture and natural wonders and beauty.
