I wouldn't say everything is quite as rosy as you think.

First of all there is a major shadow issue as is clearly visible on the in-game shot. In no way this is perfect match, at least no to the game and that does count. Probably counts most. Then there are some oddities in the model itself - that "hole" with NOT matching shadow.

I must compliment you on the water! Good use of particles (right?). Pretty pretty good! and especial cheers for thinking out of BAT box - ie not going for banal texture. One thing that may be beneficial is to adjust particle size (growth) to let it happen only at the very end. Also you may want to place some collision deflector to prevent it escaping bound at the lower end...

Here some in game pictures... i have fixed the shadow problem, but still to fix some small issues at top, usually a road should cover it...

The mall Heblem is doing (or at least heavily based off of) Mall del Norte (in Laredo, Texas).

    Wikipedia

It looks really huge, but it's only 1.2 million square feet, which is normal for a regional mall. It's only one floor.

I'm planning to do THE GALLERIA in Houston, eventually.

~ COMING SOON! Exciting new projects! ~

Nice work Helbem seems you read my mind! Not so long I posted a comment about the lack of modular Dams, this is just what I was talking about! Have you ever considered making one with a spillway on the side?

I haven't continue my own project (the UNAM library), and I don't know if I'll ever be able to as my computer got fried, but I hope to see more latinamerican buildings from you!

    keep the great work!

it looks fantastic Heblem and of course you should upload it....

I was just wondering if it might look good with one of the water fountain effects at the base to simulate the churning water?

btw what are those power lines in your shot?

    kelistmac: gracias!

thingfishs: sure, good idea but thats up to the user, ive used jeronij water splahs to simulate it, but you can opyionally plop some more effects, the power lines are this one from PEG: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=21686

    Take care

thanks for that Heblem, however those are the same pylons I already use... ;-) What struck me about the shot was not the pylons themselves but the length of wire coming from them without further pylons. Is that because of the height difference? (I hate how often the pylons get placed in game and wish I could have them with longer lengths of wire in between) Any advice?

    jacqulina: Thank you!

thingfishs: Yes it might be of the height difference, that cliff next to the dam is too high, btw, ive used first maxis powerlines, because i did that dam test without my plugins folder first, hope that helps

Cleaner475: thanks! sure i have to release this dam

Jasoncw: the reason im not 100% sastified, its becuse the shadow problem at corner pieces, originally the pieces has the same color texture, but when you plop something really close to a cliff or maxis terrain it changes to dark, a shadow issue, also among many other small issues between pieces related to LODs, this is a huge set +60 mb for your plugins folder and does not has nightlights because technical problem with the model specially the Lods, been making this set since two years ago, this the fourth version i make, and the first in 3dstudio...

I'm thinking in release this dam as beta, which mean probably there will be a better version in a future. And hopefully due its size won't be a problem for STEX server, anyway i'll upload it to CSC, which has a better server

Wow, looks like you're starting to feel at home with max, eh? 4.gif

The only suggestion I have at this time is that you may want to re-consider the texture you used for the grass planters, although that one might not be final, anyway. I think it's a tad too saturated, and it might look better with a less pronounced yellowish hue.
